Our primary bedroom is above the garage and even though we have a newer home, you can feel cold air coming thru the floor.  It's the coldest room in the house by far.  Ed's team came in and placed foam insulation in the garage ceiling.  He gave us $100 off for Angies list discount which was nice.  They cleaned up well when done.  Now that it's warm out I can't grade the quality of the work until winter again because I won't know till then if its helping with the problem.  I will come back and update then.  We had been quoted over $6000 by another company to do the work so hopefully this works and comes in far cheaper.

"Project: Seal leaks in attic, install radiant board on a sloped ceiling, and blow in insulation where needed in attic. It was a pleasure dealing with Geoff. He is the ultimate professional - knows how best to insulate an attic, is punctual and honest, is reasonably priced, gives a 10-year guarantee on his work, while in our home he adjusted door sills to ensure there were no gaps under our doors, he is most respectful of ones home and does a fabulous job cleaning up. "Mike Zam and his worker Albert cleaned all my air ducts, registers, and dryer vent. I paid $530 for the first 15 ducts and vents. After that I paid $20 per additional duct and vent. I paid $100 for the dryer vent cleaning for a total of $740. While the work was being completed Mr. Zam made a strong sales pitch for another $1400 to be paid for an Air Scrubbers Plus--a whole house air purifier which is attached to the furnace. He also strongly advised me to pay another $310 to have the coil blades in my furnace cleaned. (I got him down to $270) While he was taking the bottom part of my Lennox furnace apart he received a phone call. He then told me he had to leave and than another service man would call me the next day to do the job. As a result, I had time to call my HVAC service man to discuss these high price additions. He informed me that neither was needed. I checked online regarding the Air Scubbers Plus and found out that the whole- house air purifier's effectiveness greatly diminishes the farther away a room is from the unit. After the men (about 2 1/2 hrs or so) I discovered a lower register hanging off the wall in my living room. In my bedroom the upper and lower registers were reinstalled backwards, making it impossible to slide the lever controlling the louvers. To move the lever necessitated a hammer and a screwdriver. My recommendation to anyone considering air duct cleaning is to watch the process closely. I did not with Eco Friendly Services. And I regret it."

"I was dreading this work being done due to the anticipated mess since we had a drywall removed to have insulation blown into our attic. The process went fairly quickly. We also had drywall that was cut in our walls to have old insulation removed and new to be blown in. The crew did a lovely job of making the cuts so getting our drywall fixed afterwards was much more simple. All said and done, it wasn't nearly as unpleasant as I had feared. Highly recommend AGL Spray Foam."
