"I want to make clear that this was just a phone call. No service had been performed by our company for this individual. Reviews are typically posted on job performance ratings. This customer was not clear to the extent of the water damage sustained. She needs a professional diagnostic test. I simply said that there was a cost for this service. She seemed to deflect this evaluation. We were honest and simply assumed she was not ready. The consumer remarks were definitely taken out of context and therefore should not hold any merit to the integrity of our company. We requested to Angi that this review be removed!"

"This client paid 10K for the following: $5000 for Hardwood Floor Refinishing Services, (not mentioned in consumer's comments) which were completed in Sept, 2022. He was very satisfied with the job. The other $5000 plus $3000 for material allowance was a deposit for the Bathroom Remodel. The start of the job was mutually delayed. Once we started, We performed over and above the amount of $5000 just in demo costs, labor, materials, and disposal fees. We performed a complete bath demo, new plumbing, floor and wall framing, alterations, and a partial drywall installation. The bathroom as indicated needed new framing which did impact size placement for new fixtures. We needed to make certain that alterations were accounted for ordering new bathroom fixtures. We did explain this on multiple occasions to the client. We intended to use the material retainer on the day he canceled. It is our interpretation that he simply lacked trust and ran out of patience while job was currently in production! In hindsight, A timeline should have been set to improve confidence and to diffuse concerns. Thus leaving over a 10k remaining balance on the job including unpaid additional plumbing services as a supplement to our contract agreed upon which was over $3000. We truly regret his decision to terminate without any offer and or consideration of reconciling our contract. The consequence of his actions caused a sudden loss of business that directly impacted our revenue stream. This caused both a financial and production loss of income at the time. I express with all our sincerity that we would have finished the job as promised. Unfortunately, we were not provided that opportunity. Finally, We have asked Angi to remove the disparaging verbiage on the review expressed by this client. We do however appreciate his business and wish him well completing the job."

"This client was informed by us that she needed to hire a moisture remediation company to neutralize an existing basement issue that caused our flooring to fail. We offered to replace her floor after the moisture remediation had been completed. She refused and filed a lawsuit against our company. We proceeded to contact our insurance company to handle the situation. A settlement was reached. The lawsuit was dismissed and the client fully reimbursed. This case was closed in 2018. Finally We asked Angi to kindly remove the disparaging description of the owner that is not at all the character of a very reputable professional."
