At Baptiste Masonry we take great pride in every job we do like it was our own home. With 25 years experience I have seen a lot of beautiful work done by others and I have also seen a lot of not so good work. My goal for my customers is for them to be 100% satisfied and have a smile on their face when the work is complete. The job is not complete until that happens. In my years in the trade I have been fortunate enough to learn not just how to lay brick on a wall I have been part of some really great projects and really great people which I have learned a great deal and would love the opportunity to show my customers the great job I can do for them.

"The workers and office staff were easy to talk to, well informed, courteous , and efficient. They performed a thorough inspection. Recommended and installed a stainless liner and cap for the furnace flue and a new damper on the fireplace flue. Their price was better than previous quotes and even set up a partial payment plan. I am very pleased with the work they did."

"Rob was absolutely amazing. I just purchased an older home and it has multiple fireplaces. I had one fireplace working with gas and I wanted the other fireplace down stairs to also have a gas flame. I also wanted to do this before the holidays. Rob not only made this happen, but he came out in a crazy winter storm right before Christmas Eve to make sure this was done and to make my holidays a little cozier. He not only installed the gas burner, and new pipes, he educated me on what he was doing every step of the way. I would 10/10 recommend him anytime. Rob is super friendly, and very professional! I canâ t wait to get our other fireplaces up and running! I canâ t say enough positive things about this experience."

"We have Frontpoint at two houses. We had been looking for ways to cut our monthly expenses (Frontpoint is approx. $100 per month total), so I called them to find out what I could do. They informed me that I was under contract for another year, and that I cannot get out of the contract without an early termination fee that is equal to the cost of the service. I'm a little disappointed, because the upfront cost of the system was very expensive ($1,000+) for each house, so it seems odd that I would get sucked into this contract. Nevertheless, I forgot that I signed up for this with them. My calendar is marked for the day that my service ends, and I will be switching to a company that charges about half of what they do. They have OK customer service and are very responsive, but the wireless system had some issues with reception in my house due to a fireplace, and then they didn't want to work with me to get that resolved. They're OK, but I can't really recommend them."

"Called three different roofing contractors and met all three.  John was the last one to come to the house working around my shedule.  His price was the best one of the three.  He spent some time talking with me about what we could expect from his crew and brought samples to pick from.  They arrived on the day he said they would be there around 730am.  Removed all the shingles and fixed around 4 sheets of bad plywood and replaced the entire roof.  They pulled out completely finished at 1pm.   Workers were very courteous and cleaned up everything around the house.  Talked to John the day after the work was completed since I wasn't there and he explained everything they had done and told me exactly where the wood was that they had to replace.  Excellent experience

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

They provide excellent heat retention and durability and add a classic aesthetic to a home.

Yes, masonry fireplaces require an adequately constructed chimney to vent smoke and gases.

The time it takes for creosote to build up in a chimney can vary depending on how often you use your fireplace and the wood you burn. Creosote can start accumulating after just a few fires, especially if you burn unseasoned wood or allow fires to smolder. Regularly using the fireplace without proper maintenance can lead to significant creosote buildup within a few months. To prevent hazardous buildup, have your chimney inspected and cleaned at least once a year.

You can safely build a fire pit on your patio as long as you use porous, fire-resistant pavers or a fire pit mat over existing pavers. Otherwise, you’ll need to have exposed ground beneath your pit. You’ll also need to make sure the location for the fire pit is far enough away from your house and any other nearby structures.

The project could take anywhere from one to five das, depending on the extent of the removal. Capping a gas line can be done on the same day, whereas completely removing a fireplace and chimney can span several weeks. Talk to your pro about the timeline and potential obstacles, like fireplace material, location, and potential structural issues.
