"Trent was kind, professional, HONEST and respectful. I reached out and he messaged within the hour. After brief conversation on the phone he was able to fit me in for a free water testing and system inspection that same day. I mentioned a 3 stage water system upgrade and after the water test we found our water system was working well. He provided suggestions as alternative approaches to itchy skin we experienced. After we did our own research we agreed to have him install a UVC light with an additional filter for good measure. We called and he inspected on Tuesday and he was there with the install on Sunday that same week! Amazing. Talked us through the tests and results and provided us with informational pamphlets as well as transparency about his product vendor. Once the job was complete he tested the system and taught us about it and maintenance procedures. He was kind & patient. The pipe work install was well done and beautiful. He minded the space and existing plumbing."

"Very pleased with Mussers. I had a lot of bad advice, misinformation, and high quotes from others. Mussers contacted me the same day I posted in Angi. They really know their business and I was at once reassured by their knowledge. They completed the project in ONE DAY despite the heat. They also located the problem which I am afraid other plumbers would have missed. The area was left clean and graded and took a big worry off my mind. Friendly, competent people who really know the sewage business and are implicitly trustworthy. Interesting when the code inspector saw what the Mussers were doing, he never returned for final inspection. Enjoyable to watch and they educated me well. The one man ran the backhoe like he was doing a ballet. Hire them!!"

"My wife and I purchased our home in June in a flood zone. There was hydrostatic pressure causing foundation wall bowing. There was a sump pit and some sort of drainage system, but that thing cycled constantly day and night. The deluge of rain last month caused water to start coming up through the basement floor flooding the finished basement. The existing drain system failed. I immediately began researching reputable waterproofing companies to come out, diagnose the problem and provide a cure. The very next day I heard back from Basement Gurus. I was informed that with the influx of calls due to the local area flooding the owner of the company himself would come out that weekend to assess the issue. Dan arrived on time and got right to work inspecting the problem in the basement. He brought my wife and I upstairs and took time to explain the problem and a proposed solution. It was self-evident that the product he would be installing was quality, that they really were going to literally get to the root of the problem by digging down the foundations footer. The scope of the work described was clear: they weren't afraid to work hard and they weren't cutting any corners. He wrote up a quote within our price range and what my research indicated was more than reasonable. He felt so confident in his proposed solution and teams ability to solve the problem that he offered a lifetime transferable guarantee we would never have this problem again which was included on the contract. We felt so comfortable with the proposal that we locked in on the spot. His team arranged to come out as soon as possible and they arrived about 8 am the day of the project with about 15 guys. Wow! This guy means business. For us, this meant a great likelihood that the extensive project wouldn't drag on (unlike this review). They worked all day and were done and cleaned up by about 5. Since the job was finished the sump went from cycling every 57 seconds day and night, to cycling just once a day, 10 days later. I can finally sleep at night without hearing the water hammer from the sump pump constantly. With how often the sump was cycling I couldn't even find enough time to swap out the check valve for a quiet one. I am planning on fixing that this weekend! So far we are more than impressed. I feel confident that this problem is solved for good, and if anything goes wrong I trust that Dan and his team will make it right. This guy oozes passion for what he does and it is very clear he actually cares about the people he is serving. He is clearly knowledgeable, his team is equally extraordinary. If you have any waterproofing needs, do yourself a favor and let this guy come out to propose a solution for you. If our experience is any indication I feel confident to say that you won't regret it. If you are asking why you should trust a stranger know that I received nothing in exchange for writing this review. I am just a grateful home owner who understands how stressful a water emergency in the basement can be. If I can help one person find the same relief that we have experienced than it was well worth the hour it took for me to write this. Thanks Dan et al!"

"The guys came and completed the job in two days. They worked extremely hard and no water in the basement! They installed a sump pump that takes the water outside. We have an underground spring that runs continuously, so our pump runs every 25 seconds, but that is not Bracken's issue. Their issue was to rid the basement of water, and they did."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons your diverter valve may not be fully diverting. Blockages from mineral buildup are common, but if your diverter is older, it may be suffering from normal wear and tear. Components can wear down or crack. In some cases, the cartridge may be defective, and you’ll need to replace it.

Fixing plumbing prevents water damage, conserves water potentially lost by leaks, and improves home convenience and efficiency.

The Thanksgiving holiday period is one of the busiest times of the year for plumbers. Both Thanksgiving Day and the day after, often called Black Friday or "Brown Friday" by plumbing professionals, see a significant increase in service requests. This is because a house full of guests, large holiday meals, and unfamiliarity with the home's plumbing can lead to clogged drains, garbage disposal issues, and sewer line backups. Outside of the holidays, the busiest weekdays for plumbers are typically Monday and Tuesday, as many people discover plumbing problems over the weekend but wait to call for service. Despite the holiday, you can rest assured that many plumbers work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday to handle the surge in emergency calls.

If nothing is coming out of your faucet, you could have frozen pipes, a clogged faucet, or your water supply could be shut off. First, check your shut-off valves. If it's a hot sunny day, you can rule out frozen pipes and look closer at your aerator for signs of mineral deposits. Removing the aerator and cleaning it out can often return water flow. If temperatures are below freezing, you may have frozen pipes. Knowing what to do when pipes freeze is essential for thawing your pipes and preventing them from bursting.

Start by pouring hot—but not boiling—water down the drain. The heat of the water may be enough to break down the clog. You can also try ½ cup of dish soap or 1 cup each of white vinegar and baking soda. If you choose a chemical unclogging product, ensure it’s appropriate for toilets to avoid damage.
