"Ivan was very professional. He power washed the deck and stained it, power washed the siding to remove green, power washed the downstairs patio and sealed it and filled in cracks and gaps with cement. did some re-sealing on the deck and front porch. I was very pleased with the work Ivan did and highly recommend him."

"Did a great job. The painters were very professional and kept the property clean during painting. Re-stained my front door and painted shutters and other outdoor areas. Really freshened up my property at a pretty good price. Would recommend!"

Customers say: True professional

"Mike did an excellent job in repairing my 30+ year old deck by removing all deck boards, railings and stair stringers and installed all new PT lumber. In addition, he replaced all joist hangers. I am very pleased with how the deck turned out."

"They were great. Very communicative on arrival time, with quotes, with invoicing, and did all services exactly as they said they would and as good as we hoped. They were conscientious in their work, not finishing until it was exactly right...in fact they came back again to touch up some of the deck knowing they needed a certain spot to dry longer. Overall great guys and I'm looking forward to bringing them in again for the next project."

"He was very good at communicating problems, solutions and listened to my opinions. He was dependable in showing up. He cleaned up after the projects. The projects look great. He had a hard time matching the color of the steps with the deck that they lay on, so he picked a color that matches the trim of the house perfectly and they look great."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

The plastic in composite decking boards protects them enough that you do not need to paint them to prevent warping. In fact, painting composite decking voids the warranty of some manufacturers. Painting can also increase maintenance on the deck, as you must paint regularly to keep it looking its best.

Wood stain is not flammable after it dries. The solvent in wood stain is what causes the liquid form to be highly flammable, but the stain drying process involves the solvents dissolving, which leaves behind a non-flammable product on your wood project. Wood stain is, however, flammable before you apply it, so you should always store partially full cans and used wood stain rags away from sources of heat and open flames.

It’s necessary for paint to completely dry before exposure to rain, and that drying time varies by the type of paint used. Oil-based paint takes 6 to 8 hours to dry on average, meaning that’s the minimum time needed between the last brush stroke and the first raindrop. Latex paint dries faster at around 1 hour, and acrylic paint is even quicker, usually drying in about 30 minutes. If rain is in the forecast, check the paint manufacturer's details before laying on a new coat.

The best time to paint your deck is when temperatures are neither too cold (below 60 degrees) nor too hot (above 85 degrees). Always paint your deck when there’s no risk of rain. For fast-drying paint like acrylic or latex, ensure your deck can dry for at least four hours. Oil-based paints take longer to dry and may require 48 hours to completely cure.

The best temperature to paint a pool deck is between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, because many paints and sealers require temperatures warm enough for the chemical reaction to take place for proper curing. The paint should not be allowed to freeze, and temperatures above 90 degrees can cause the paint to dry too quickly, also preventing the chemical reaction from following through to completion.
