"I hired University Painters to paint the exterior of my house. They actually gave me a quote in January 2022 and honored that quote in the summer of 2023. The house had not been painted since the 90's so you can imagine the paint chips when they power washed the house. They picked up most of the paint chips (Yes!). We also had a couple of bushes that needed trimming so they could reach the house. They took care of this. Overall we were very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again."

"Dan and Tyler did an excellent job. We had them paint the fellowship hall at our church. They painted the walls and doors, installed molding around one of the doors, and replaced some ceiling tiles had were damaged. We have used Dan for other jobs around the church. He installed a new railing at the entrance to the church, installed wainscoting and painted the interior of the sanctuary. I have used him at our house. They are our go-to company for jobs around our house as well. Last year they installed a new sliding patio door in our family room. I don't bother getting other estimates from other companies. I know others will probably be higher in price and I know that Dan will do an excellent job. I recommend him highly."

"An owner himself came to meet with us (Jesse).  He was highly informative, and showed us graphics so we had a clear picture what the work would look like.  He explained every thing fully and we felt like we were his priority.  He quoted the job Friday and the crew arrived at 8:30 AM the following MONDAY-- only 3 days later.  This crew (both days) came in and worked like gangbusters!  Both days they worked 10 hours, and I never noticed anyone taking much a break.  It was actually exciting to see a team attack a project like this.  They were also meticulous:  Norm carried a heavy table out of the basement for me, then he and Angel covered absolutely everything in the basement with plastic.  Every detail of the French drain was addressed: including extending the line out to the street, and tying in problem gutters to relieve our water problems.  We also appreciated Brian (the foreman) explaining everything before and after the job.
I fully recommend this company.  They are serious about getting your business, and doing a professional job in the quickest amount of time possible so you can get back to living.  Very nice crew, great communication, and delivered on everything they promised.

"Outstanding job. Will hire again. Clean and neat. They removed wallpaper, skimmed coated walls, installed new door casing and baseboard moldings. Then painted everything. Can't begin to tell you how happy I am with quality of work. If you are looking for a paint contractor look no further you found them. Thanks again ?"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Eggshell and satin finishes are best for porches because they sit in the sweet spot between scuffable matte and distracting high gloss. Your porch sees a fair amount of wear and tear, so you don’t want paint that’ll show every mark like matte, but you don’t want to be blinded by glossy paint in the sun either. Eggshell and satin have durability and a look that sits nicely in the middle.

Various kinds of substances and deck preservatives act as protective coatings for wood to prevent rot, which is caused by water getting into the wood and creating cracks and splits. Stains, paints, and sealants are the three best options to protect your wood, but there are also oils, varnishes, and waxes available. You’ll need to reapply sealant at least once per year, and you should inspect your wood deck regularly to look for signs of damage or general wear and tear.

Applying too much sealer to a deck might seem like extra protection, but it can cause more harm than good. Wood is a porous material with a limited capacity to absorb liquids. When you go overboard with sealer, the excess can't soak in and instead forms a film on the surface. This leftover layer is prone to peeling, cracking, and trapping moisture, ultimately defeating the purpose of sealing in the first place.

You can refresh a painted deck by either giving it a thorough cleaning or refinishing the deck altogether. Chipped or faded paint, as well as extensive damage, often calls for a new finish. To do this, remove the original coat of paint with a sander and add either a new coat of paint or a stain to protect the wood below.

The best type of paint for concrete exterior surfaces like concrete porches, steps, or walkways is high-quality exterior-grade paint with strong weather resistance. Acrylic latex blends with tiny anti-slip particles will help create an anti-slip coating for your concrete porch. This type of paint will stand up best to the elements, especially rain, snow, and ice. An exterior epoxy will also help strengthen your concrete porch.
