"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Bert and his team worked through the BITTER cold to finish the repairs needed on our back patio enclosure. And they did a really great job. Communication was consistent and Bert always answered. It's obvious he takes pride in his work and appreciates his customers. Definitely recommend giving Bert a call, if he can't help you he will help find someone who can."

"Everything from the start was handled professionally. Being that I have never been involved in having to deal with this kind of damage to my house requiring me to find my own contractor willing to start the job not knowing what could be involved once it was started. Only having the small estimate that my insurance gave me Chris showed more concerned about how to get me back in my home then how much money he would make on the job.
There was a lot involved and he started just before the winter hit in 2013.
Here are the details.
Before any work could be started the owner of the other house who live in New York had to be contacted to get permission to cross the property line slightly which was needed to do the proper repairs.  Chris contacted the owner, wrote a letter and had it checked by a lawyer so he could start the job then went on to deal with the township which were giving me a hard time.
I did not have to do any of it.
At the start of the job everyone was sure there was a common firewall between the houses but it turned out that there was not.  Only the first floor had a wall not the second and third plus the bathroom wall had to be removed and there was nothing under the floor just a hole going under from the other house.  This was more work then Chris quoted me for but he continued on the job even though I had to submit this information to my insurance company with no guarantee they would pay the extra money he needed to do the job.
Chris and his guys continued working in the winter even when it was so cold I would not have done it.  If it was not for his professionalism an thinking ahead the pipes in the bathroom would have frozen and broke.  To keep this from happening he built an outside structure with heat so he could fix the whole and put up the wall. I found him to be very creative in rebuilding the outside wall and went above and beyond what any other contractor I think would have.
I now have a professional looking vinyl outside wall where the old house was attached. Let's not forget about the inside where a new great looking drop ceiling was installed, new carpeting installed, attic bedroom repaired and newly remodeled bath room that looks great and my wife is in love with.  I could not be more pleased with the work that was done.
As for the owner Chris.  He is professional, friendly, takes care of any concerns or complaints you have promptly, anything that he feels is not done correctly or you it is done again until it's right and he was available to me seven days a week day or night when I need to talk to him.
This is the contractor you want to hire.  I will be recommending him to everyone and continue using his services in the future."

"It went well.  All repairs where done professionally and as quoted.  They were flexible with times for my schedule.  Found an issue that needed to be addressed outside of what they were there to do (it was an obvious issue once you knew what to look for it was not them trying to create work - I could see it and recognize the issue).  They scheuled and performed that repair.  They could improve a little on timely communication, but nothing that could not be worked through and work was and staff were professional

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

In Reading, watch for screens that sag after heavy snow, mesh that’s torn from hail or wind, and aluminum frames showing rust from frequent rain. If window screens rattle in strong winds, have gaps that let in bugs, or the mesh is pulling away at the corners, it’s time to consider window screen replacement or porch screen repair to keep your home protected.

Helpful?

For new homeowners in Reading, start by checking all window screens for tears or loose frames, especially on older homes near wooded areas. Inspect porch and patio screens for damage from local pests like mosquitoes. Upgrading to pet-resistant mesh is wise if you have pets, and replacing damaged basement window screens helps with ventilation and keeps out critters common in PA neighborhoods.

Helpful?

In Reading, south-facing window screens often wear out faster due to sun exposure, while ground-level screens are prone to damage from lawn care and foot traffic. Porch and patio enclosures near the river can suffer from extra humidity and debris. Screens on storm doors and basement windows also tend to need regular attention, especially after seasonal storms or high winds.

Helpful?

In Reading, schedule immediate screen repair if you notice large holes, loose frames, or screens that won’t stay in place—especially before spring when bugs become active. Minor cosmetic issues or small tears in less-used areas can wait. Plan repairs before pollen season or summer humidity, and consider off-season work for easier contractor scheduling and to keep your home comfortable year-round.

Helpful?

In Reading, leaving screens installed during icy winters can cause frames to warp from freeze-thaw cycles. Forcing open stuck screens, slamming screen doors in humid weather, or leaning on screens to open windows can all cause damage. Skipping regular cleaning, letting pollen and dust build up, and using harsh cleaners can also reduce the lifespan of your screen repair or window screen replacement.
