"Eric and Dave returned my call immediately, set up a same day appt because of a cancellation, they were professional, provided education on the problem/treatments, and were able to treat the same day, and arrange follow up in two weeks. I will definitely recommend Valiant Pest Defense."

"Overall, we were very happy with Brian and so happy to have the groundhog that was eating our tomatoes finally gone. I had to give a weak rating for punctuality since I rearranged my day for an 11am appointment, but Brian showed up about 3 hours later. He said he was stuck at a previous job, which happens I know, but an earlier call to let me know about the delay would have been greatly appreciated. After that intial problem, Brian did an excellent job. He was very nice and accomodating that I didn't want to use the kill trap that he initially suggested, and kindly used the no-kill trap and agreed to relocate the groundhog. As a side note, we have been enjoying watching a little bunny grow up in our yard all summer, and on the first day, we came home to find that bunny in our groundhog trap. I was so happy we didn't use the kill trap because we would have been crushed to kill our little rabbit friend. Instead we just set him free and reset the trap. Anyway, unlike another company I called that would only allow use of the trap for 3 days (for $185), Brian said we could keep the trap as long as it took. It was a good thing since we didn't catch that groundhog for 8 days and we would have wasted our money on a company that had the 3 day limit. While at our house to set up the trap, Brian was very patient showing us how to use it and letting us practice setting it up a few times. He also walked around the whole house and pointed out any other areas where pests could possibly get in. This was a great service that I don't think that other companies offer at no extra cost. We finally came home to the trapped groundhog late one evening, and despite a rainy day, Brian came over the next morning to take the groundhog to its new home. Overall it was a fairly efficient and easy process. I was a bit suprised how much it costs to remove one pest, but shopping around, Brain's price seemed right in line with others in the areas, plus he offers the whole house inspection, so I think prices are fair. As a bonus, Brian is quite a character and quite entertaining. "
Through monitoring, preventative treatments, and advising on moisture control.
Roaches may not be quite as common on the top floors of a home, but they can easily climb up there if they want to. Second stories are less likely to have food sources and somewhat less likely to have moisture issues, so most roaches are attracted to bottom levels first. However, humid attics and similar spots can help roaches thrive.
When looking for natural roach repellent options, citrus, bay leaves, cucumber, garlic, and catnip may all help to keep cockroaches away. When an infestation requires a bigger intervention, boric acid, baking soda, diatomaceous earth (DE), and soap mixed with water are all considered natural and nontoxic roach treatments.
If you find a tick inside crawling in the house, remember not to just step on it or try to crush it. Ticks have hard bodies and it’s hard to kill them this way. Instead, pick it up with toilet paper and flush it. You can also place it in a sealed bag, or kill it by placing it in alcohol.
The best way to permanently get rid of skunks is by setting up deterrents around your property to keep skunks out. Get rid of skunks permanently by:
Not leaving food or water outside
Installing a motion-sensor sprinkler system
Installing fencing that’s at least 3 feet high and a foot deep
Adding motion-sensor lights in the yard
Cleaning up brush, sticks, woodpiles, and leaves on your property so skunks can’t use the materials for a nest
Seal up cracks and holes around your property to prevent skunks from building a den
Placing fresh lemon peels around the perimeter of your home
