"Erik was hired to install IKEA cabinets in our home for a full kitchen renovation. I felt confident in assembling the cabinets and finishing them (doors, hardware, drawers, toe kicks, etc) but we wanted a professional to make sure the cabinets were hung level, plumb, and square. From our first conversation it was obvious that Erik is an expert in all things IKEA. He provided some guidance and changes to our design to make some subtle improvements that would not have been obvious to us. He also immediately identified a critical flaw in our design that would have greatly impacted the final outcome but luckily we had enough time to get the proper replaced item. Communication with Erik was decent but be prepared for patience with emails and texts. Phone calls seemed to be most effective. Also be prepared to be patient for his schedule. Despite our efforts to plan ahead and get on “his radar” back in July, it still took several rounds of calls and discussions to finally get a week nailed down and the arrival day wasn’t determined until the week-of. You will need to be flexible. The installation was very fast - he had all of the work completed in one day. He is also very precise and detailed. He took time to show me how cabinets were anchored to the wall, that cabinets were level and prepped for the countertop template. He also cleaned up nicely, was courteous in our home and has a professional demeanor. The installation wasn’t without issue though. He accidentally stepped on a weak piece of our corner cabinet and broke it. His solution was to “sister” a piece below it. I was told it wouldn’t affect the countertops as this had no load bearing properties and it won’t be visible once countertops are installed. I believe that he is correct, and accidents happen, but it was disappointing as mishaps was something I wanted to avoid and large reason why we elected to hire someone rather than do the installation ourselves. No adjustment was made to the agreed upon price to account for the broken cabinet which I felt would have been the appropriate thing to do even it was a minor reduction. Overall, I would hire Erik again and be better prepared to be patient and clearly a communicate my expectations. He is precise, detailed, and very knowledgeable on IKEA systems. His involvement resulted in a nice overall outcome."

"Fabulously!! My wife and I have used Patete Kitchen and Bath Design for over 30 years. During that time, we have had two bathrooms and our kitchen completely remodeled. The professionalism and expertise of Patete's work staff is first rate. They are perfectionists when it comes to detail, and they get the job done right....the first and only time. About a week and a half later Keith came to our home to remove the cabinet and take it back to Patete's cabinet shop to be modified. In fact, when we saw Keith, he remembered working on our kitchen all those years ago. A few weeks later, I again spoke with Wayne, and he told me that the cabinet modification was complete and that Keith would contact us and reinstall the cabinet. Sure enough, on schedule, Keith arrived and within an hour, he installed the new, modified cabinet, and it was a perfect fit above our new refrigerator. Both Wayne and Keith have been members of the Patete team of craft experts for decades, and their wealth of experience showed on this job.
