"Mike showed up and was very pleasant and was unable to complete the job of replacing a cartridge in my bathroom faucet because it was corroded. I have Moen , so I was able to get a new one at no cost and he said he would replace the faucet when it came in. I just needed to let him know when it came in. Six days later it came in and I called and he said he needed a few days because of gallbladder surgery. I called back 10 days later and he was in the middle of a project and asked me to give him a couple of days. I gave him 5. When I called he did not answer. I called the next day and again no answer. So I texted him a day later asking if he planned on coming back to finish the job I paid him for. He replied , I am sending you a check. After 5 days I texted him and said if he did not return my money I would contact Angi. He was very upset with me that and said not to threaten him and that the check was sent MINUS a 30% service charge. As of this writing I have NOT received a check."

"First of all, I can can do plumbing myself, but it usually involves more than a day or two and multiple trips to one of the big box stores. Since the tub hardware was old and corroded, I didn't want to take a chance of making things worse, so I decided to call in a professional; that the toilet started leaking was a (happy) coincidence for me, so he or she could do that at the same time. I contacted TruPlumbing and Tom was dispatched for the job... he contacted me to set up a time and date for the service call and also gave me a quote and the option to buy my own parts for the job, telling me what was needed, Tom arrived on time and had both jobs completed in a few hours; he was very professional, covered his shoes so as not to track dirt into the house, and explained what all he had done. I would definitely recommend TruPlumbing and will use them in the future."

Nothing that isn't expected with a major remodel project, however. The staff and construction crew were great! They were easy to communicate with, very responsive with any questions and quick to offer solutions to any concerns. "Hire with Caution! This company installed 4 furnaces for me over the last 3 years in other rental properties I own. I recently purchase another property out of foreclosure and no one has lived there for several months if not at least a year. I knew the furnace was working since I did have the heat on but I wanted them to clean the furnace and check the AC unit as it felt like it wasn't cooling. I also waited after the remodel as I knew both would be dirty afterwards. They went to the property, gave them the code to enter so they could go on their own time as it was still vacant. The feedback from Betlyn was the furnace was cleaned, check and in working order. The AC on the other hand was out of freon and they recommended replacement due to the age of the AC unit. I spoke to the owner on the phone and he gave me a price to replace the furnace and said nothing else. I wanted to obtain another estimate for the AC replacement. When this company came to the property, they called and said the furnace is dirty and there is no air flow at all (see photo). I called Betlyn to find out why they didn't clean the furnace as that was what I paid to have them do. The owner was extremely rude, condescending and just down right disrespectful. He kept asking if I was going to have them replace the AC unit and said the furnace would be cleaned as that was part of the AC replacement price (but they never told me this originally). I asked what was my $110 payment for and he gave me some rude comment and made up story, he even told me the gas wasn't on (which it was as the heat was on). Then he kept asking if I was going to have them do the AC unit, I said I want my furnace cleaned first and then he hung up on me. The bottom-line is don't ever question their work then you will never have to worry about being hung up on. $110 down the drain!"

"Not well. We gave him $7,000 on 6/27. It’s now 8/22 and the job is nowhere close to being done. Sometimes we get texts. He says it will be done on Friday or it will be done on Monday or done on Wednesday or the next Friday. Typically he doesn’t even show up and when he does show up, it’s only for a few minutes and nothing is accomplished."
