Arrived everyday at same time - worked tirelessly and upon completion everyday - cleaned up and returned promptly next day and started again. The ceilings were textured and he matched the pattern perfectly. Very conscientious about the quality of his work - absolutely an excellent professional painter. While it’s best to avoid exterior painting when it’s raining, you can still paint inside when the weather is wet. As long as the humidity and temperature inside your house are moderate enough to allow paint to dry properly and your room is properly ventilated, it’s perfectly fine to tackle an indoor painting project even if it’s raining cats and dogs outside.

If you want your paint to have a smooth finish, the technique you use is very important. Keep your brush at a 90-degree angle while applying the paint and feather as you go. Between coats, sand the wall lightly using a very high grit sand sponge of at least 220 grit.

It’s possible to paint inside when it rains, but you should keep the windows closed and have a dehumidifier in the room to maintain proper humidity under 70%. Note that keeping the windows closed means you won’t have ventilation, so double-check that you’re using a no-VOC paint for safety. Even then, it’s a better idea to wait until the rain has passed before you start painting.

Although plastic-sealed paint cans can look tricky, you can open them with adjustable pliers in no time. Grip the plastic seal with the pliers and pull the seal up, moving around the seal until you’ve pried the plastic up in enough spots. Then, you can grab the seal and pop it off the top of the paint can. Depending on the strength of the seal, you may even be able to remove the seal with just your hands by pulling upwards.

You can paint concrete with paint rollers. In fact, using paint rollers is considered one of the easiest ways to evenly apply paint on concrete. A paint roller with a 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick nap—which is basically a fabric paint roller cover—is best for painting concrete. The thicker the nap, the more paint it can hold to fill those pesky concrete cracks and crevices.
