GEORGE HOLMES PAINTING

First off I would like to say George is a nice guy and I believe he truly means to do a quality job. However it has been 3 months since the painting was completed and there’s already many spots that are fading. They painted over dirt as the pressure washing cleaning job was not fully completed. All the work was done when I was at work and I wasn’t able to sit and watch and hold them accountable at that time. George and his crew had to come back out multiple times to touch up. When it clearly needed a 2nd spray coat. I would choose another contractor unless you enjoy painting missed spots due to their lack of attention to detail. I have attached some examples how what I’m dealing with that correlates to the quality of their work.

They were very professional. Of the five people we got estimates from they were the lowest and the service was great. We saw him painting our neighbor's house and called him a year later when we were ready to have our house painted. They came with a folder with all their licensing and paperwork. They were very professional!

It was excellent.  They came when they said they would.  They worked diligently, hard, and professional.  They were attentive to our needs.  They were quick to respond to any issues and made it to our liking.  The price was extremely competitive.

They were very professional, and fast, and squeezed us in to a very busy schedule.  But we were not happy with the quality of the work -- some rooms only got one coat of paint instead two, and the detail work in the bathrooms along the baseboards. around cabinets, and on doors and door/window frames  was sloppy -- I'm not sure if that was their work, or they just failed to correct the mess that the earlier contractor left.  The job was for only certain rooms -- not the entire house -- but they charged us $2,397 for the job, where the first contractor charged much less for the whole house.  Knowing that we were paying a much higher price per sq ft, we assumed the quality would be top notch -- but it definitely was not.

George and his crew were timely and courteous throughout the process.   We used the acrylic latex paint on the exterior and the home looks beautiful.   We had a hole in our kitchen ceiling from water damage and after George's crew was done, you could not even tell where the hole had been.

Painters arrived on time. They worked neatly and quickly. Overall, a job well done.

They were good. They got in and out and it was good. We were pleased with it. There were no problems. They were nice guys and their price was fair. They cleaned up good and they got it done in the time that they said that they would get it done. They checked with us on things and they did not seem to try to rush in and rush out. I was pleased with their pricing.

Fine - they do a good job for the cost.   Other painters estimates were significantly higher while using same grade of paint.   A plus was that they did the window sills on a Saturday so that no one had to be away from work.

They were on time, efficient and did excellent work.

It went well.  I have used George Holmes painting before.  His price is reasonable; his workers are conscientious, clean and neat as they work.  The paint job lasts.  If there is something missed or that you don't like, he fixes it immediately.

It went very well., the crew was on time, worked didligent.ly, was very neat.There were changes that had to made along the way that were accomodted. the work qulity was excellent.

They purchased wrong paint and began
Painting it up high on a cloudy day and told me it would dry darker.
It was supposed to be grey but it was pink. Took them two weeks to come back and correct it.
Charged me double. I was so fed up I payed them but probably shouldn't have.

Excellent job. They covered EVERYTHING that could possibly be affected by paint, dust, etc.. A few years ago they painted the exterior of our house, and that was also excellent service. They cleaned up very well after they finished the job.

He has a lot of integrity, you can really trust him, you can trust him to be in and around your house and his prices are really reasonable as well. He is very knowledgeable about painting and the jobs that he does.
