I had called multiple other HVAC companies to install a vent through a brick chimney and were having trouble finding someone who would even come take a look to see if they could tackle the project. John didn't hesitate and came out and talked to us to find the right solution. Once we were ready for the job we were able to schedule him within about two weeks and he called the day of to see if they could come a bit earlier than planned. I truly appreciate the quick and professional communication throughout the whole process. The guys that came with him to do the work were also professional and they got the job done quickly. The price we paid was very reasonable for the length of time they spent and the difficult job of drilling out through brick."

"They installed a new high-efficiency furnace in our house on 3/11/2010. The cost to us was $5,393.00. While the installation appeared to go fine, serious problems appeared down the road. Over the years, while the furnace appeared to be working fine, we kept getting notices during the winter months from our utility company that we were using more power than comparable neighbors. This was in spite of the fact that we lowered the temperature to 72 when the house was occupied and to 58 when it was not occupied, or we were sleeping. This past week, during the cold spell, the furnace could barely maintain 72 degrees even though it was on continuously. Yesterday, 2/20/15, I found on inspection of the furnace that there was a visible gap (about 1'') between the furnace forced air heat outflow duct and the main house HVAC duct. I could literally feel the hot air escaping from this gap into the basement. In other words the forced-air from the furnace was escaping into the basement, even before it had a chance to heat the house. This appears to explain the problems we are experiencing with using too much power and inability to maintain a modest temperature in the winter with a high efficiency furnace. Update: Called company and they apologized and will be working on getting the issue repaired,"

Our AC has been out for a few days in a current hot spell, and Sullivan was the only company that contacted us. They proved the old saying that in winning, half of the battle is just in showing up and being there. We were not Sullivan customers before, but we are now! Sullivan's service was SUPER!"

"The phone rep (Angel) was terrific and professional. The cleaning visit left some things to be desired though. The workers left a mess behind--dirty fingerprints, dirt, and grime underneath and alongside the vents they cleaned, muddy/dirty water on the front porch, etc. They gave a hard sell to convince me to upgrade the cleaning services--bacterial treatment, allergen treatment, etc. They did not wear booties in the house or remove their shoes either--just tracked in dirt from outside all over our floors and carpets. The team did NOT have cameras to inspect the ductwork before and after the job or demonstrate its effectiveness. They used a WATER SPRAY to clean, which I had never heard of before--was expecting brushes and negative pressure/vacuums. I am not crazy about the idea of spraying water inside of my walls, ductwork, etc. and the EPA does not recommend it. The workers said that the ducts will take a few days to dry out. They charged me extra to clean out a couple of HVAC trunks in the house because they were not accessible directly from the vents--then when I asked how they accessed the trunks, they told me that they were able to reach them from the vents after all. Since they do not use cameras, I have no idea if they were actually cleaned, or how they were able to ascertain one way or the other if they reached them, or if they were successful in cleaning them. The price quoted over the phone was very reasonable. When they visited in person though, the up-charges put them right in line with competitors--double cold air returns, HVAC trunks, etc. In hindsight, I would have rather used a more professional and cleaner crew and spent another hundred bucks."
