I am the owner/operator of Kyle Long's Plumbing and More, LLC. I may be a new company but not new to dealing with water. I have worked for the past 17 years for a reputable local company. In my years of experience I have worked full circle, I started by helping drill the water well to access the underground resources. From there I moved on to the well pump crew that installs and repairs water well pumps. After being the head pump technician for 10 years the person running the water conditioner area of the company retired. I completed training and certification in April of 2016 for treating water. Since then I have continued working in this field. While I do continue with my present employment I am looking to expand being able to help people with their well pump to water treatment issues as my own company. Give me a call at 570-259-6998.

"If you have homeserve insurance don't let Holiday Enterprises be your service provider this is how they left my home and Mr. Hummel(owner) said " Not to be smart but we are not responsible for any damage we do per your contract" after his worker left my home filled with raw sewerage."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

When considering the price of drilling a well, factor in how much you’ll save in water costs per year. The average family of four uses 100 gallons of water per person per day in the U.S. With a private water well, you can save hundreds each year.

Wells are also environmentally friendly. You don’t need to worry about drinking water treated with chemicals. Talk to at least three well pump contractors in your area. They’ll be able to tell you more about your options, give you different quotes, and discuss the biggest concerns.

Some states and municipalities restrict well pump repair and replacement to licensed plumbers and technicians, while others don’t have requirements. However, it’s always a good idea to hire a certified plumber to repair or replace well pumps and water pumps. Certified professionals are far more likely to get the job done correctly and prevent future issues, which is especially important for ensuring access to clean water for your home.

Wells should be at least 100 feet deep for drinking water, but they may need to be deeper depending on the local geology, water quality, and your household’s water usage. Work with a qualified well drilling professional who can assess the appropriate depth for your well and test the water before drinking it.

Excessive pressure (above 80 psi) puts too much stress on plumbing pipes, joints, and fixtures. This can lead to leaks and burst pipes. Plus, it shortens the lifespan of appliances, can waste water, and can raise your utility bills. High water pressure might feel like a gift, but it’s actually a silent threat to plumbing.

A well pressure tank is located between the well and the well pump, and it stores your water under pressure so that the well pump can eventually do its job. The well pump is activated whenever you turn a faucet on—it pulls the water from the tank into your home. Both are vital parts of a complete well water system.
