"Very well, Rick and his team are total professionals. They always arrived on time and they took care to address every concern that I had. If I had to knock them anywhere, there were a couple occasions where email communication criss-crossed and some messages were missed. But, I learned that voice contact was the best way to go. Rick is a really great guy to work with. While it was a bummer to have to give him money every time I saw him, it was always nice to meet with him and catch up on things. Good people."

"Mike was extremely professional. He came out to measure within 2 days of contacting him and had quotes to me within a few days from several suppliers. On the day of install, Mike came on time and did great work. Mike and his employee worked quickly and cleaned everything up before they left."

"After living in our house for 10 years, we had been looking to repair our leaking roof and cover the deteriorating wood paneling on the outside of our house. We started our search at the 2019 Pittsburgh Home and Garden show. We met with a few roofing companies and decided to go HomePro Remodelers. Roberto met with my wife and I and explained the process of replacing the roof. After signing with them, they got started quickly. The crew that replaced the roof were very professional and courteous. They did a good job with the roof and cleaned up the area before they left. The crew leader Marvin was very easy to talk too and answered any questions as they came up. This year we went through the process of meeting with different companies to get quotes to put vinyl siding on the house. After meeting with Roberto, we decided to go with HomePro Remodelers again since they did a good job on the roof. The day after signing up with them, they were already bringing over equipment. Once again it was Marvin’s crew who did siding, and they did not disappoint. They were courteous and entertained any of our questions. They cleaned up the worksite and the house looks great. After 2 separate jobs with Roberto and Marvin’s crew I would highly recommend HomePro Remodelers."

"We recently had parts of our basement torn apart to get the toxic mold out. Dan and his team put our basement back together. They were hardworking, professional and very courteous. Even my 8 pound maltese guard dog loved them.
They went above and beyond finding stone that would match our fireplace for the hearth and the new built in shelves to the sides of the fireplace are even better than we had imagined.

"Owner was very professional when at my home. He had access when I wasn't home. He always cleaned up when he left and made sure that I could still "live" in the house while they went about their work. He painted the outside and inside of my house. He is a very hard worker and went out of his way to do a couple of things that were not in the contract. For that I was grateful."

Egress Windows FAQs, answered by experts

Most modern egress windows installed in basements open outward into a window well, although some older homes have in-swing windows. Egress windows, like casement windows used in other parts of the home, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, may open inward, and these windows are often larger than outward-opening windows.

When you need new windows depends on a variety of factors, including the age of your windows, the age of your home, and the climate you live in. If you’re dealing with budget constraints, you don’t need to replace all your windows simultaneously.

When buying new windows, you should consider energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics to choose the right window for you.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

Depending on size, material, and labor, two windows can cost between $600 and $1,600.

Yes, egress windows must meet local building codes for size and accessibility. Professional installers ensure compliance.
