After letting us know that he would get us the quote by the end of that weekend, we thought how wonderful and QUICK it would be for him to do so. The weekend passed and nothing, we thought nothing much of it as telling us he'd get the quote by the end of that weekend (3-4 days from original visit) was probably overreaching. So we contacted him again via Angie's List and asked for a status update after it had been a little over 1 week. He said he'd have the quote to us by that weekend. Ok, no problem. The weekend came and passed, still nothing. I called the office manager and politely asked for a status update, he said that Dan had been busy, was out in the field but knew he was working on our quote. He said he'd have Dan get back to me that night- still no call. 4 days later, I call again, once again politely asking for a status update on where the quote was. The office manager said he was out in the field and he'd have him call me back that evening. Dan finally called me back the following day (this is now 3 1/2 weeks after the original visit); I hadn't personally met him as he met with my husband when he came by to look at the basement. He started his call immediately citing very personal/family issues (mind you, I've never met or talked to the guy personally) and that being his reason for not providing the quotes. I said I was sorry to hear that and he said he'd get me the quotes that weekend- this was over the phone once again. The weekend came and went, AGAIN, and still nothing. So, at this point, I have given 4+ weeks, just for a QUOTE on how much my basement would be to finish and still no answer. We will not be hiring Dan for this service as punctuality and professionalism is our number one priorty for the contractors we hire, and we cannot trust that if we hired Dan that he'd follow through with this based on the last month's evidence alone. It's unfortunate because he was one of our top choices based on prior work and first impression.

We recently had parts of our basement torn apart to get the toxic mold out. Dan and his team put our basement back together. They were hardworking, professional and very courteous. Even my 8 pound maltese guard dog loved them. They went above and beyond finding stone that would match our fireplace for the hearth and the new built in shelves to the sides of the fireplace are even better than we had imagined.

Dan and his crew are amazing! I cannot say enough about how professional, courteous and talented they all are: I am so happy with the high quality workmanship and unbelievably good prices. Dan has great ideas and is very creative, and his prices are AMAZING! I am a very particular kind of person when it comes to my home, I admit that I'm a perfectionist, and a bit controlling, and I don't like cookie-cutter work, everything has to be just right, and look really unique. Also, I keep changing the scope of the project and adding things...Dan and his team take everything in their stride, listen to me, nothing seems to be a problem with them and they always happily and quickly accommodate my requests (for example, after one of the closets was built (and finished to perfection), I wanted it moved 10 inches) -- they were completely OK with it, not a problem, they listened to me and very cheerfully undid their finished work and re-did the closet - truly their goal was to make me happy). Dan's team work incredibly hard, I am amazed at how fast these guys work and yet still have incredible attention to detail and high quality workmanship (a lot of this work has been billed time and materials to me, so it's important to me to see them all working hard and really fast yet carefully) Their finish work is amazing -- everything matches the old original plastered walls, paint, gorgeous old trim, the remodel fits in seamlessly - and they don't cut corners, even the interior of the closets was finished to standards higher than I've seen in many homes - absolute perfection. They are true craftsmen that take pride in their work. The work involved a lot of demolition of old plaster and lathe walls, typically this can be a real mess, but Dan's crew were very careful, as they worked they were constantly cleaning and bagging debris, the work areas were kept really tidy and clean, and at the end of the day it was pretty spotless -- I was amazed at how well they cleaned up all the dust. Also, they were very careful not to damage surrounding areas -- they protected existing walls, our stairs, doorways etc. so as to not track dirt in and out, everything was covered. Dan's work crew went above and beyond -- while they were working I was also moving into the house, and they even helped move some boxes and furniture that needed moving when I got a refrigerator delivered! I honestly have yet to meet such a helpful, courteous, talented and professional construction team (and I have had a lot of past experience with high quality contractors working on previous home) Also, Dan is amazing at keeping in touch, I often had questions and suggestions as the work progressed and he was always available and responsive. I'm looking forward to my next reno. project, and I will definitely use them again - I am recommending them to all my friends!

Dan, Walt and his crew are true rockstars. Punctual, personable and completely professional. I have had several contracting jobs and this company is on another level. When I called Dan, my wife was two weeks from delivering our daughter. My house was a complete wreck: busted plaster everywhere, random wires draping here and there, dirt in places I didn't know existed. To compound our problems, another contractor (the one I had just fired) had stretched out the schedule then he flaked on us. Needless to say my family and I were vulnerable, confused and sad. In such a situation, it would have been easy to take advantage of us. Several people I called clearly smelled blood and were pretty disinterested in the h*** we were going through. When I contacted Dan, it was immediately apparent his level of professionalism was on a higher level?focused, respectful and helpful. When my wife and I met him in person, my intuition?that Dan was an all-star?was confirmed. He was smart, experienced and most importantly (especially to my wife) sensitive to our distress. We chose Dan based only on that impression. And I can't express how beyond our expectations his team has performed. They went above and beyond. They are finishing up today and I can honestly say I'll miss having them around. I guess my new, awesome house will have to be my consolation prize :) I can't wait to hire these folks again which will be soon. Thank you Walt, Dan, John and Vince.
