"Gino @ Redline did several repair and upkeep jobs for us, including installing a new kitchen faucet, replacing the ballcock in the toilet tank, installing a new door knob, among other help. He was professional, reliable, courteous, got the jobs done. He even went above and beyond when we had issues with a fridge install (different company): he came back free of charge to help us move our heavy kitchen island to make space for moving the fridge. We offered a tip, but he declined that, too. To top it off, he told us to call him when it's time to move the island back. I highly recommend him. "

We are a general handyman company, who also specialize in bee removal. If there is a swarm of bees that take up residence on your property we can come in and remove the bees and all the insides of the hive, preventing further damage to your property. We also repair the damage that may occur from extraction.

"He did several jobs for us. Some went fine, but others he never finished. He even charged us for some work that he never completed and one of the rentals. He was supposed to have to taken care of several jobs several months ago (1 nearly a year ago), but we are finding out he never did them. In addition, he kept some of our materials (door lock adjustment tool as well as some door locksets) and refuses to respond to calls or texts to complete what he was asked to do, return our materials or simply let us know what happened. He MAY come out and do a job for you and MAY do it OK or he may just ignore you. I should have known when we first started hiring him for jobs and he told me that he was ignoring another woman who was asking him to fix something and he didn't want to do it so he just ignored her. Guess that was a sign that I didn't heed unfortunately. Hopefully he doesn't do a job for you, do it wrong and then you continually try to call or text him to come fix it he will likely do what he did to us and the other lady and just ignore you rather than be a professional and respond appropriately."

BabyBird Electric is a residential and commercial electrical wiring and repair business that aims to build life-long relationships with our customers by providing high-quality work, old-fashioned customer attention and reasonable prices. We understand gravity of our responsibility to our customers. We respect the level of trust required for you to invite us into your home, trust that we provide you safe wiring and trust that you're getting good quality and value. We hope that you'll keep us in mind for your future projects or urgent repair needs. No job is too big or small...and it never hurts to ask when the safety of your home or business is the issue.

"Extremely well! I had originally called them because I was having some problems in my home with a few plugs. (NOTE: This was AFTER they came to my home and, after taking a close look at the problem, told me that my home would not pass inspection and needed to be rewired...again!) I contacted an electrical inspector who agreed with their assessment. Since then, they rewired my entire home again - this time it was done correctly. As of this writing, the inspector has not been by yet; that's in another week. They fixed all the problems and made it look much nicer. I am going to use them for another house project. I highly recommend this company."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

If you’re replacing an old fixture with a ceiling fan, you usually won’t need a permit, but if your electrician runs new wiring for the fixture, you likely will need a permit. Building permits are necessary in most municipalities if you’re making changes to your electrical system, so even if you have partial wiring run to the area and need new wiring installed for added functionality, you’ll probably need a permit. Your electrician should be able to let you know if you need one, and they’ll typically file the paperwork for you.

There are several telltale signs to let you know that your ceiling fan needs servicing or replacement. For instance, if it’s wobbling, rotating too slowly, or if your ceiling fan is making noise such as squeaks, buzzes, and thumps, it’s time to have it looked at by a professional. Not only may it indicate a potential problem with the fan itself, but it could also signal a red flag that it’s improperly assembled or there’s an issue with the wiring.

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.
