About us
Paul's Electric is a licensed and Insured electrical company doing both residential and light commercial. I just signed back up with Angies list in June of 2022 as i was too busy last year to handle all the calls. Deal directlywith owner. 1 year warranty on all my work and parts. I have over 15 years of experience as an electrician. We upgrade services, install new circuits, lighting including recessed, hanging, outdoor flood and post lights. Fix electrical issues such as circuit breakers tripping, outlets (such as G.F.C.I.'s not working) or lights not working etc. I install portable generator hook ups (transfer kits) so you can safely hook up a generator safely. Excellent service, knowledgeable, accompanied me to store to choose new ceiling lights eliminating mistakes. Cleaned up all debris. Is courteous & respectful about his work and work area. Has worked for us multiple times & I will rehire to finish outside electric issues in the future.

Everything went really well. Paul is not only an expert at what he does, but is a genuinely nice and helpful person! He worked around our strange schedule, even showing up on Saturday, and took in stride the ever-expanding list of projects we kept finding. He also made a lot of good suggestions, and helped out on several non-electrical projects on a couple of occasions!

Paul is thoroughly professional. Offered a fair price and look to save money where appropriate. He was easy to contact, and kept me informed, I work in the city and have a grueling schedule, and he was very accommodating on doing the contract over email and SMS. Tom and Paul from Dial an Electrician are awesome! I called for some troubleshooting work to replace several lights and light fixtures in my home after they had either gone dead or were replaced (and incorrectly at that) by my dad who meant well and wanted to surprise my husband and I with some DIY lighting work while we were out of town. To make that long story short, my dad actually made things worse and I needed everything to be replaced and rewired. It wasn't an urgent job, but when I called, Tom said they were actually able to come over that day and address all our issues. Tom and Paul were punctual, friendly, patient with all my questions, and very knowledgable. Paul took the time to tell me of every option and price point possible, and always wanted to make sure I was happy with what he was suggesting and the prices for each service, which I was. They got right to work and they are very clean and neat, using drop cloths throughout my home and putting furniture back and sweeping up after they were done. Paul had to order some extra fixtures and was not able to complete the job that day, but he ordered them right away and got them in the next morning, so he was able to return with Tom just a few hours later to complete the job (also, Tom and Paul were very good about staying in contact with regard to our appointments by sending texts to confirm and to let me know when they were on their way). When they returned, again they were both very friendly, professional, patient, and efficient, finished the job perfectly, and cleaned up everything before they left (lots of dust and sheetrock and they swept it all very well). Additionally, Paul had previously on the first day written out a detailed invoice for me with a final total we had agreed on for materials and labor which I had requested to pay in full up front, and so the next day when he came to finish the job and realized he needed more materials than he originally estimated the previous day, he told me not to worry about it and he wasn't going to charge me extra for the additional materials and labor, which was very much appreciated! All in all, working with Paul and Tom was a very pleasant experience, and my husband and I are very happy with them and the job they did that they are now our go-to electricians. We currently are working on an estimate with them for another project for some landscape lighting in our backyard. So happy we found them! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Paul is a professional he explained what he was doing as he was doing it. He is very courteous and did a great job. He cleaned up when he was finished. It took less time than anticipated. I would highly recommend Paul for work.

Paul diagnosed both problems and fixed them within the first hour. Although he could have told me that we needed new wiring or new high hats and made it into a big job, he saw that the dimmer was the problem and replaced it in a few minutes. He fixed the outlet - which had been poorly jerry rigged by prior tenants. He is obviously knowledgeable, honest and very pleasant. I highly recommend Paul.

"Hi [Member Name Removed]. I'm very sorry you were dissatisfied. You never mentioned your dissatisfaction when I was there. Your wife had called me about the job and I told her I would call her back but wasn't able to return her call because I didn't save her number; nonetheless, I did call you back twice after that and left you two messages and I never got a call back. I still would love to remedy this situation with both of you because I always strive to please my customers, please call me @ (516) 731-3735. In regards to the job, I did the first job and you seemed happy. The box was removed, the devices removed and there were 4 cables with 2-3 wires each. Very complex and the hole was too small for a new box. I had to cut tile about 3/8 of a inch and get all wires into the new box and figure out what each wire was for. Two hours to do that was very fair. If the wall was open and or the old switch and outlet still connected, I would have been faster. If i didn't have to install a new box in a finished wall, I would have been faster. Regarding the second part, I had to add another box in the plaster wall and get power since current beams in the wall did not permit another box next to it. I added a new box and disconnected hats from fan light and installed a new switch to just control fan light. Two hours to do that, drill holes in beams and run wires. It was not simply adding a dimmer or swapping out a light fixture. I had to run new lines, install new electrical boxes. I really worked as quickly as possible, not to mention, it was obviously terribly hot in the attic. I hope you better understand what was involved. I work very hard and am very honest."

Paul and Tom were extremely respectful and courteous. They were punctual and got right to work! They made sure to clean up after themselves and were particular about putting things back the way they found it. The initial job was just for the high hats but as we got talking, I mentioned additional projects and, without issue, they offered to perform the job since they were already in my home and it got done the same day after agreeing on the price. They were personable, polite and extremely professional. They are now my go to electricians!

Paul showed up as promised and we discussed the problem I was having. He told me the course of action he felt would be the be the best way to diagnose my problem.Paul and Bob went to work and whatever problem they came across it was explained to me. Replaced the main circuit breaker and also a socket and a switch and a few other circuit breakers that were weak. Heabd Bob was very courteous and professional.Would not hesitate to use him again.

Paul and his teammate Tom did a great work.
Everything from the very beginning to the end went very well and I am highly satisfied with the help I got from Paul.
We agreed with the scope and the price of the project well in advance and Paul gave a very competitive estimate. He paid attention to all the details I raised.
They arrived right on time on everyday scheduled. He posted me on every detail that popped up during the project.
I am very happy with the quality of the work done and their craftsmanship. Everything looks neat and works very well.
