"Rowdy Williams and crew were fantastic. Rowdy himself always answered the phone. There was a lot of grading on this job, including a compound drainage path, which Rowdy designed. They team worked fast and produced a great looking driveway. They did the job the day after I signed the work order. The price was very, very good. Finally, this is a family operation. I could not have been more pleased."

"Johnny and Johnny were fantastic. Very respectful and punctual. They were able to get my driveway done within 36 hours of me calling and at a reasonable price. They worked quick but diligently. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a driveway sealed."

"The patio looks beautiful. I think the price was reasonable and in line with a couple other quotes we got. The reason I chose Dom was because he seemed very knowledgeable, and was very responsive. It was also a plus that as part of his bid he was able to use concrete block to block up a basement window (it was a hazard when you stepped off the patio directly into window well). He also made me feel comfortable with the procedure they used to jackhammer and pour new concrete over top of the basement (a part of the patio is actually serving as a roof for a small piece of the basement.)
I am pleased with the patio and end result and would use this company in the future.

"Trust Home and earth is a great company to work with. Great value for your dollar. Looks at all the details to ensure the new produce will match the old. I am hiring the company to do my sons patio pad right after my driveway expansion is complete."

"Chasity was quick to respond and explained how she would repair areas on my driveway and then seal coat it. Due to weather she did have to reschedule but kept me updated on when she’d be able to complete the job. Price was reasonable and driveway looks good again. I would recommend Bryers."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

In Latrobe, an asphalt driveway's condition evolves with age. For the first five years, it requires minimal care beyond a sealcoat around year three. From years six to fifteen, expect to sealcoat every two to three years to combat freeze-thaw damage and address more cracks. After sixteen years, the surface may need heavier repairs or a complete asphalt overlay due to Pennsylvania's harsh winters.

Helpful?

Yes, a new asphalt paving project significantly boosts your home's resale appeal in the competitive Latrobe market. It can enhance curb appeal value by 5-10%, as buyers expect a functional driveway to handle winter weather. While you may recover a substantial portion of the initial investment at resale, the immediate visual improvement and added functionality make your property stand out.

Helpful?

After your asphalt paving project is complete in Latrobe, PA, keep a comprehensive file. This should include copies of any required permits, the contractor's warranty information, and the asphalt mix design specifications. Before-and-after photos are also valuable for your records. This documentation is essential for future maintenance, potential warranty claims, and can add value upon resale of your home.

Helpful?

The longevity of asphalt paving in Latrobe depends heavily on a few key factors. Proper base preparation is crucial to handle the area's clay-heavy soils and ensure stability. Effective drainage is also essential to manage over 40 inches of annual precipitation. Using a cold-weather-resistant asphalt mix and ensuring a minimum thickness of two to three inches will help it withstand local freeze-thaw cycles.

Helpful?

To safely manage minor issues with your asphalt paving in Latrobe, you can fill cracks less than a quarter-inch wide with a rubberized filler during dry weather. Address small depressions with a cold-patch compound to prevent potholes from forming. Also, keeping grass and weeds trimmed away from the driveway edges helps prevent deterioration caused by root intrusion and moisture.
