"I hired him to do a pretty significant remodel on a duplex investment property. The building was old and had a lot of subpar work done by the previous owner that had to be fixed. He worked with my budget and stood by his work as he actually fixed a leak in the roof 2 months after the work had been completed. Anthony was a great partner as he told me exactly what to expected and helped me save money where possible. His knowledge of the investment/rental perspective helped me reach my goals with the duplex. I plan to buy again and will definitely be using Anthony and team for any work needed."

"We have utilized KMA for several projects and each was well done. The first project was our deck, addressing the failures of another contractor. Marshall and Adam not only fixed the failures, but completed what was otherwise an abandoned project. They did a beautiful job. The success of the deck gave us the confidence to move forward with a master bath renovation. They were detail oriented, conscientious of quality workmanship and sometimes worked weekends to keep the job on track. Their commitment to the job was evident and the end result was impressive. Feeling so fortunate to finally find a contractor like KMA, we proceeded with a third project - finishing our unfinished basement. The guys welcomed creative ideas in the layout/design and again took pride in their workmanship. Their commitment to the job was exemplary. We worked well together and the end result was well worth biting off a project that we had otherwise postponed for years. Thumbs up to Marshall, Adam and crew."

"Rick and his crew were just what I was looking for. I had questions about replacing my home roof with metal and Rick answered them all along with a few suggestions that I hadn't thought of. He came to my home on the day the supplies were being delivered to be sure everything was correct and direct the driver where to put them. The workers were reliable, (at the work site at 6am everyday), friendly, and most importantly skillful. I love my new roof and have been getting calls and comments from neighbors and friends who drive by. I would surely recommend RMS Contractors to anyone looking for a new roof!"

"I couldn't be happier with the work performed by Krain Construction. They were on time every day, extremely professional and very courteous. And I can't express how clean and tidy they were. When the job was complete, there wasn't one thing to clean up. I've used other contractors in the past and have had so much clean up, and there has always been a mess to clean up - but not with Krain! They were very clean and careful. Overall, I was very pleased with Krain Construction. Brian was upfront with all of the project details and cost. I have to say that if you are thinking of hiring Krain Construction, you won't be disappointed. Krain is a top notch company and I will most definitely hire them again."

"In a nutshell, Dave did a great job and was great to work with. I needed a variety of work done for a home that was being prepared to sell and Dave was able to handle them all. These tasks included: drywall patching/repair, interior painting, exterior painting (shutters, doors, foundation), power washing (deck & siding), toilet and shower repairs, door jamb and window sash repairs...and probably others that I'm forgetting. Communication was always timely and informative, which was nice because we wanted to get this house on the market quickly. Providing great value to his customers seems like a priority of Dave's, which I greatly appreciated during this process. When walking through the house and discussing the work needed, Dave offered multiple suggestions on how to perform the work. Many of his suggestions were simple in nature (not unnecessarily complicated) and did not involve extra equipment, time, resources, etc that would increase the cost. I would not hesitate to contact Dave in the future for any work, and I would recommend his services to anyone."

"Job went well. Promptly received quote. Chris stopped one evening to confirm color match was acceptable. Started job when they said they would. Gutters look great. One minor issue-the downspout collars were installed with bar code labels on them. I phoned Chris to notify him and someone came within the week to remove them.

"Omnipro did amazing work! The contractors were excellent and eager to complete the work on time and to our satisfaction. They even surprised us at the end and put sod down in the grassy area they had created. It looks perfect - even better than we imagined - and we get compliments all the time! I can't wait to use Omnipro for our next projects!"

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

If you remove a load-bearing wall to create an entrance to a carport or covered patio, you can expect to pay between $3,200 and $9,500, with an average cost of $6,400. Factors such as the type of addition and if that area needs additional work will add to the price.

Professionals charge between $60 and $95 per hour to install ornamental porch columns. The amount of time they need varies based on the condition of the porch, whether they need to remove old columns, and if there is any damage to your porch's structure. This cost can increase if more issues come up during the installation process.

Yes, a 2x6 should hold a porch swing and safely support the load. A smaller joist runs the risk of it not offering enough support for the swing. If you have a joist smaller than 2x6, add additional bolstering support.

To calculate the number of linear feet of baseboard you’ll need, measure the length of each wall of the room you’re installing them in as close to the floor as possible, rounding up to the next full linear foot. If it’s your first DIY molding job, having a few extra feet on hand for miscuts is a good idea.

There are a few easy ways to locate a wall stud without a stud finder. First, try knocking on the wall with your knuckles. Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. Alternatively, since studs are spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, you can measure those distances from a corner of the room, which will always have a stud.
