We offered to work with them to correct the mistake by waiting until the fall to do the aeration and re-seeding. Instead, they quit and walked away, leaving us with a lawn more damaged than when we started. This company should be avoided at all costs!"

They killed all the grass and mounded the thatch around the edges of the yard. When the grass didn't grow there, they came back and spread a little seed which also did not grow. This spring the yard still looked terrible with the thick thatch around the edges. Although we have complained many times since early spring, they claimed it was too cold to plant grass until May. They still have not corrected the mess they made and our lawn looks terrible."

The best type of fertilizer depends on the type of grass and your desired end result. Generally speaking, slow-release fertilizers are best for grass, as they gradually release nutrients into your soil instead of all at once, which meets the needs of many grass types.
