"I am very happy with the work that Bakers Waterproofing did for my basement! They were quick, efficient, and took care doing a great job. Lukas Selleck, Jason Shaeffer, and Dalton Bardole were virtuous and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone that are in need of waterproofing."

They are absolutely wonderful. I am really delighted with their services. They are really wonderful people to work with, I think.

I feel that 24/7 Handymen really tried very, very hard to make sure that the customer is satisfied. I feel as if they go out of their way to deliver a good product at a good price. I also feel that when they come in to talk with you for the first time, and to get a general idea as to what you need to have done, they listen to what you say. For example, in my situation, I really needed new bathrooms and a new kitchen. I had a limited amount of money that I was willing to spend for it. And they were wonderful at working with me to keep me within the budget - within the amount of money that I was willing to spend. And I think that's really important.

Sometimes a contractor will come in and their focus is to get you to spend as much money as possible. Here, with 24/7, I explained what my long term plans are for the house, I explained how long I expect to be here, and what I wanted done, and the amount of money that I was willing to spend and they took it from there and they really, really ran with it.

Something else that a prospective customer might want to be aware of is that they do try to think creatively to solve problems that might crop up. Fore example, in one of the bathrooms, we very much wanted some additional storage space. Actually, we wanted some storage space. The old bathroom had virtually none. Its a very, very small bathroom. This is a house that was built in the early 1970's and its a town house and there's not a lot of space in the bathrooms. They are all small. But the contractor was able to come up with a really good solution that worked and that was extremely reasonable in price. So it might not have given us as much storage space as we would have liked, but for the amount of money they we were willing to invest, it was a very good solution.

In those situations where maybe they said 'I'll be there at 5 o'clock' and they weren't going to be able to make that because of getting tied up with something that happened earlier in the after noon, there was always a phone to call to say 'We have a bit of a problem. Would 6 o'clock work with you?'

"Hector was polite, professional and punctual. His time utilization was impressive. The project was done quickly. He provided me with before and after pictures of the project. My roof looks so much better. We discussed options if this repair wasn't the sole issue and discussed the processes he used for the repair in depth. As of now, the rain had stayed on the outside of the house, where it belongs. His quick response to my inquiry and his attention to my concerns and my suspension of the cause were wonderful. As a women, I often fell contractors discount my research and knowledge of some projects, Hector did not. He listened and confirmed my suspensions and informed me of another I didn't even consider. I was very happy with my experience. Thank you."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

During concrete leveling in Lancaster, surprises can arise from the area's unique geology. Professionals may discover expansive clay soil requiring extra stabilization or hit limestone bedrock sooner than expected, complicating the work. It is also common to find that poor drainage is the root cause, necessitating additional repairs like installing French drains to prevent future settlement and protect your investment.

Helpful?

When hiring a pro for concrete leveling, prioritize their experience with Lancaster County's specific soil types, like clay and limestone bedrock. A qualified specialist will understand how Pennsylvania's freeze-thaw cycles affect concrete and will be knowledgeable about proper drainage solutions for the region's wet climate. Inquire about their technical qualifications with polyurethane foam or mudjacking techniques to ensure a durable repair.

Helpful?

Cosmetic concrete leveling in Lancaster addresses minor 1-2 inch settlements to improve aesthetics and remove small trip hazards. Functional projects are more complex, tackling significant settling of 3+ inches that affects structural support. These larger jobs often require addressing underlying water management issues critical in Lancaster's climate, ensuring long-term stability for foundations and driveways.

Helpful?

For your concrete leveling work in Lancaster, a seasonal routine is key. In spring, check for new cracks or settling after the winter freeze-thaw cycle and ensure proper drainage. In the fall, seal any new cracks and clear gutters to divert water before winter arrives. Documenting changes with photos helps you monitor the slab's condition and address issues before they worsen.

Helpful?

Professionals in PA prioritize concrete leveling issues based on safety and severity. Immediate hazards, such as trip risks over one inch or settlement threatening a foundation, are addressed first. High-priority issues include progressive movement and drainage problems causing ongoing damage. Less critical cosmetic flaws are typically scheduled for a later time, ensuring structural and safety concerns are resolved first.
