Gray Construction was established in February of 1988. The company was started with only a vision and a few hand tools. One of those tools was an old sledgehammer that was passed down by my great grandfather. He used that sledgehammer to drive railroad spikes into wooden sleepers during railroad construction. And in our humble beginnings we used that same sledgehammer to break up concrete. Today we use jack hammers with pneumatic concrete breakers on the machines. We have come a long way. Additional DBA - Stamped Concrete And Landscaping. Additional email - [email protected].

"I was so impressed with Gray Construction! Kent responded promptly to me and came to the house to discuss what I had in mind, offering suggestions and providing a fair estimate for the work. Even more surprising, he scheduled and completed the work within a two week period! He and his team did an exceptional job, leaving my property better than they found it, even completing a few small tasks outside of their scope of work for me. Highly recommend Gray Construction!"

We provide concrete coatings, their options for grey or tan base coating with a variety of matching vinyl flakes or a grind and clear. The product used to coat your concrete is a polyaspartic which is an alternative to epoxy. The polyaspartic is stronger, more durable and UV stable which prevents yellowing. The business is young, but installers have years of experience installing concrete coatings for many homeowners and businesses.

Oversees all aspects of a construction project from start to finish. Our main duties include hiring and training Subcontractors, applying for the necessary licenses and building permits and providing hands-on supervision and guidance to workers on the site. Our services are not limited to a specific field.

"It went really well, they are very respectful. They came back the following day o clean up the mess. The price is not bad and it seems like there no things that they cannot do."

"Three years ago, Matt installed a concrete patio between my pool and my house. I made a point of expressing my concerns on settling because of the extensive amount of ground that had been moved. This spring one of the slabs has sunk about half an inch, another has cracked. I have emailed Matt twice asking what we could do to correct the issue since concrete should last more than 3 years. I have received no response. Very disappointed. I'm hoping he contracts me to try to work this out."

Decorative Concrete questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you will need a building permit for cement work on your property. You need a permit for any project that adds a permanent foundation on your property—which, in most cases, includes even a flat slab of concrete poured directly on the ground. Building permits for concrete projects usually cost between $100 and $500, although this can get higher for larger projects. You can always ask your cement company if a permit is necessary for your project, and the expert will typically pull the permit for you to save you time and energy.

Concrete can cure in 24 hours if the temperature remains above 40 degrees, but it might take up to 48 hours for the initial curing if the temperature drops close to freezing. You can speed up the curing process in cold weather by using accelerants, or you can insulate the slab or enclose and warm the area with heaters.

The average cost of concrete for stairs or slabs is between $110 and $150 per cubic yard, or between roughly $4 and $5.50 per cubic foot for materials. Installation, form building, form materials, and preparation will increase the cost to between $150 and $200 or more per cubic yard

If your epoxy application ended up a bit messy and left spills behind, there are several ways to clean epoxy off of a concrete floor. You can use a power washer with at least 3,000 PSI. However, it may be easier to use a scraping tool or an acidic cleaner, like vinegar, to remove unwanted epoxy.

If the entire floor has epoxy and you want to remove just excess epoxy stains, these methods could still strip parts of the epoxy floor. Move carefully and in small areas to minimize damage, or call a pro for an expert finish.

The best plan for removing rust stains from concrete is to progressively move from weaker cleaners to heavy-duty acids. Move from dish soap to vinegar to oxalic acid to muriatic acid, stopping whenever the stain is sufficiently removed. This process ensures that only the safest possible methods are used, rather than jumping right into a powerful cleaner that may be effective but unsafe and unnecessary
