"My blower on my heater was not working properly. I had changed the filter this morning and it was filthy. After I installed it the blower did not kick into the higher setting. I called Tru North at 7:00 AM ET and they were at my house by 8:30 AM ET- talk about customer service- WOW! Just before Tru North arrived the blower started working. JP and Brian looked at my unit and could not find anything wrong except a big hair ball near the blower. They cleaned it up and were totally awesome. They recommended I have the unit serviced and air ducts cleaned out. Both were professional and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend TRU NORTH. Way to go guys :)"

After years of working within large, corporate-driven HVAC environments, our founders saw a growing need for a company that values honesty, quality work, and long-term relationships over quick transactions. Whether it is system repairs, new installations or maintenance, we focus on doing the job right the first time. We believe that when customers feel informed/confident in their decisions, the results are better. We also believe that strong teams create better outcomes. "We were delighted with our generator project. Everyone from Sunrise Comfort Solutions was so genuinely focused on making certain that our selection, installation, and generator operation exceeded our expectations. Covid protocols were practiced. Selection of a properly sized generator is the key to your satisfaction when it's needed. Your sale exec will conduct a thorough evaluation of tour home systems. Installation is a complex process; done with expertise. Testing and homeowner in- service were a cinch. Service does not end with the installation. The contractor followed up to ensure our questions were all answered. Communications were excellent throughout the process. I look forward to working with Sunrise Comfort on future projects at our home."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

You can use a boiler and a furnace, although it’s not common to use both for whole-house heating. For example, your furnace may take care of HVAC heating through your vents, while a boiler powers your floor-based radiant heating in the bathrooms. Mixing and matching like this gives homeowners a variety of heating possibilities.

Costs depend on issue severity, parts needed, and labor rates.

Coolant and antifreeze are technically not the same thing. The difference between the two is the ratio of water to other chemicals. True antifreeze is mainly made up of either ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, while coolant comprises one part antifreeze and one part water. However, the terms coolant and antifreeze are often used interchangeably, even by pros.

Installation costs range from $4,000 to $12,000, depending on unit size, efficiency rating, and labor.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.
