Valor Home Inspection, LLC is a Military Veteran Owned Certified Home Inspection Company. Home buying is one of the largest investments you will make and deserves special attention. There are several people involved in the process of buying and selling a home. One of the major people is your home inspector. This person's sole job is to help you make a smart purchase and make you aware of any defects or potential safety issues prior to your purchase of the home. As a home inspector we do not seek to frighten you away from a sale or encourage the sale of just any home, but to educate you! Place your trust in a veteran owned business.

"We hired Mike Galob of Valor Home Inspections to inspect our home to determine the source of roof and window leaks. He came over and conducted the inspection and offered to remediate by caulking our roof and around the window. He advised it would take several days because he had to do the work in stages and had to arrange the work for when the weather permitted. He was often unresponsive and we had to follow up multiple times before he finished the work. Several times he made appointments and never showed up. After he caulked around one of our windows we were very upset with the way it looked, we were not expecting him to caulk the siding. There is a large line of caulk going down the side of our house above the window. He promised he would come back to caulk with another color that would match, and when that did not work, he painted on top of the caulk and promised that once the paint dried it would not be noticeable. We paid him for his work and when the paint did not dry to match, he said he would come back and paint with a different color. He did not show up on the arranged day, and now does not return any of our calls, and to top it off, the window still leaks! The damage he did to our house will be extremely expensive to repair, and we are now in the process of suing him to recover the cost of a professional painter. I would strongly advise to stay away from this Michael Galob and Valor Home Inspection. Not only was his work terrible, but his customer service was appalling."

"We had siding, windows and doors installed during the summer of 2020. The install was a nightmare. My "lifetime" warranty doesn't appear to exist because no one at the company will call me back regarding the failing siding, window and back door."

Typical roofing repairs cost between $380 and $1,800 on average. However, most homeowners spend approximately $1,100 on a roofing repair project. The size of the roof, the extent of the damage, and the type of project all impact the final cost. External factors like product availability and supply chain issues may also affect the price.

Projects like repairing damaged gutters will only be around $180 to $560, whereas repairing a sagging roof will be a higher expense at $1,500 to $7,000.

Roof repairs start at around $700.00 and go up from there.  There are many significant factors that come into play, and each customer's needs will rarely be the same.

The cost to replace your roof is often significantly more expensive than the cost to repair it. On average, homeowners will spend between $5,890 and $12,800 to replace a roof. The size of the roof, the roof’s pitch, and the number of stories the house has will significantly affect the overall cost. You can expect to spend upwards of $46,000 for large, high-end roofs.

This all depends upon size, type and complexity of the actual sloped areas of the roof.  An accurate estimate with detailed lists of covered and additional items is imperative when purchasing and protecting yourself during the process.

Although not every state issues licenses for roofing pros, it's important to check with your county or city if hiring a licensed roofing contractor is necessary. Hiring an unlicensed roofer might result in low-quality work and potential legal issues if an accident happens. It’s always best to check the qualifications and licenses of your roofer before they begin a project.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Before hiring a roofing contractor to work on your project, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Do you use roofing subcontractors?

  • Do you offer a warranty?

  • Do you have any references?

  • How will you clean up after the project is complete?

  • Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Roofing is a highly skilled and labor-intensive trade. Because of this, you can expect to pay an average of $2 per square foot for your roofing professional. Roofing labor costs generally make up about 60% of the overall project cost.
