"I had my chimney cleaned by the father Marlin. The son Vincent came to install my boiler. It took several weeks to get them here and several weeks to install. Each time they came they quoted a time and were a minimum of 5 hours late! The access door for cleaning was never cemented in place and the boiler connection was improperly connected. The son Vincent told me I need my chimney cleaned. When I stated your dad cleaned it two months ago. Well you need a new chimney liner or my home would burn down. I called the father and ask him why he didn’t tell me I needed a liner. He made a lot of excuses and never answered the question while blaming my family member for exaggerating this statement. Vincent told me I needed the liner while staring at my chest in a very inappropriate way. Really gave me the creeps. After reading another review here on Angies list I wish I had read the reviews prior to hiring this establishment."

We have 10 employees adn have been in business since 2005. We do sub-contract a few services. We often have promotions and they can be seen on Facebook or on our website. We offer six months SAC financing all the time.

"We purchased a new Wood Stove from Creekside to replace the Coal Stove that was in our new house. The crew showed up on time, removed the old stove and installed the new one in an amazingly quick manner. Everything works perfectly. They even cleaned the chimney. Since the Coal Stove was relatively new ( we just don’t like Coal), Creekside put the Stove in their inventory and sold it on consignment for us. What a great group of people! Would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them in the future."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Generally, snow removal from a roof should occur once over six inches of snow accumulates, especially if you notice that ice dams have formed. Without ice dams, you can let the snow accumulation hit 12 inches before removing it. However, the amount of snow that is too much for your roof also depends on the sturdiness of your roof and the compactness of the snow. If your roof needs maintenance or has structural issues, it’s best not to let the snow accumulate too much for fear of collapsing.

While it’s not completely necessary for them to operate properly, as the occasional rainfall can rinse away dirt and debris, manually cleaning solar panels from time to time can keep them operating more efficiently.

Dirt, debris, pollen, and bird droppings can collect on the surface of the panels. Depending on the amount of solar panels you have, this can add up over time, so set a regular maintenance schedule. Moreover, if you live in a climate with little to no rainfall, more debris can accumulate, causing inefficiencies that would be clear in your electricity bill.

While DIY cleaning is feasible, it's risky without proper equipment or experience. Hiring professionals ensures safety and effectively avoids damage.

The average cost to clean a roof is around $500, but prices can fall between $150 to $1,000 or more. The size and complexity of your roof are the most significant cost factors, as larger roofs and those with various bump-outs and gables will increase your cost. Your roof material will also make a difference. An asphalt roof will require more labor, as your professional will need to be careful not to damage the shingles. A metal roof can stand up to more intense scrubbing and shouldn’t take as long to clean.

For the best chemicals to clean a metal roof, stick to gentle detergents such as dish soap, laundry detergent, or car-wash soap mixed in a diluted solution of ¼ cup of soap to 1 gallon of water. These mild cleansers are safe for most roof finishes but are still strong enough to remove remaining dirt particles. Chemicals like bleach or acids can damage your roof, poison landscaping and grass, and pose a hazard to you and your family. If your roof is very dirty or you think it requires chemical cleaning, call a roof cleaning professional.
