Small jobs welcome

"Colt’s property service has done multiple projects for me and has done a good job with all of them. Most recently he regraded underneath my deck. And replaced the old footings. It was very tight and tricky to get a machine in, but he managed with no problems. Would definitely recommend going forward."

"My Sister & Brother in law just bought a house in the Bethlehem area. They left NJ because of very steep and quick rising taxes there among other issues. They needed a fence quickly because they have been rescuing Grey Hound dogs for decades from the abuse of the Dog Racing Owners and the Dogs need to run at least twice a day. So I set up estimates for the fencing which had to come first. One Nationally known company didn't even show up for the estimate and several other well known National Companies where so expensive they nearly doubled the inflation calculations on fencing I did for my Sister. Scott's Property Services were clearly the exception. They gave a great price and did an excellent job to better specifications than the Big companies said they would provide for much more money. From the depth of cement grounding of the Fence posts to the gauge of the chain link. An absolutely top notch job that was finished in a few days for a lower price by far of anyone around. My Sister and her Husband were extremely pleased with Scott's Property Services quality and work ethic. I've lived in PA for 20 years and my Sister & her husband got to see the kind of people and craftsmanship in Pennsylvania that I've been mentioning for years. If you need Property work or Home Improvement you would be cheating yourself if you didn't call Scott's Company in for a quote on the work you want done on your property. Thank you, Sam White"

Land Clearing Services FAQs, answered by experts

New homeowners in Bethlehem should start with a boundary survey to confirm property lines, especially in established neighborhoods. A topographic survey is valuable if your lot has slopes or is near waterways. For older homes, a utility location survey helps identify underground lines. If your property is intended for commercial use, an ALTA/NSPS survey ensures compliance with local development requirements.

Helpful?

In PA, disturbing or covering survey markers during landscaping, construction, or snow removal can affect your survey’s accuracy. Misplacing survey documents or not informing workers about marker locations increases the risk of damage. Regularly inspect visible markers, avoid altering the ground near them, and keep survey records accessible to help preserve the long-term integrity of your land surveying work.

Helpful?

Surveyors in Bethlehem begin by analyzing deed descriptions, plats, and prior surveys to establish property boundaries. In the field, they use advanced GPS and total station technology to locate boundary markers, iron pins, and visible landmarks. They also consider Bethlehem’s varied terrain and neighborhood layouts, ensuring all findings comply with Pennsylvania’s land surveying standards and accurately reflect the city’s property records.

Helpful?

To streamline your land surveying project in Bethlehem, gather all property records and communicate with neighbors about upcoming work. Check if your project requires special permits, especially in historic districts. Schedule surveys during favorable weather, ensure clear access for equipment, and select a surveyor familiar with Bethlehem’s landscape. Maintain open communication and store your completed survey documents securely.

Helpful?

In Bethlehem, it’s wise to schedule a land survey if you notice unclear property lines, plan to build additions, or are selling or refinancing your home. Permit requirements for projects like fences or driveways often trigger the need for updated surveys. If you receive requests for current survey documents for zoning or tax purposes, it’s a clear sign to contact a professional.
