Awesome. Just love the way our kitchen and dining room turned out. Tom does all kinds of general home repairs and remodeling of all kinds. There is no job that he won’t consult on. And if he’s not the expert he will point you in the right direction. He is well networked locally with all of the contractors and home repair and remodeling experts. Give Tom a call!

Overall, the project went really well, and the end result is amazing. Both Dan Sr. (sales) and Dan Jr. (production) were good to work with, and the contractor on site, Joe Miller, did an excellent job with the construction. Joe was really good about talking through the details with me, and he made it a point to ask me what I wanted whenever there was a choice to me made. For instance, I wanted the ceiling fan hooked up to a switch on the wall, instead of a remote control, and Joe took the time to figure out how to make that happen. Similarly, I wanted a GFI on the outside of the sunroom, and Joe figured out how to run the electrical wires through the house to get the GFI where I wanted it. With any project this large it's impossible to work out all the details in advance, and I was very happy with the way Joe and Dan Jr. worked through changing the details with me during the construction. For instance, the original plan was to have 8' side walls and a 10' peak on the room. However, once the new deck was built we realized that the overhang from the house made it impossible to have the side walls 8' high. They figured out how to cut out part of the overhang to get the side walls up to 7.5' high, and then I had Joe cut the peak in at 9.5' in order to keep the shape of the trapezoidal glass the way I wanted it. Good communication was key to getting the room built the way I wanted it, and both Joe and Dan Jr. did an excellent job keeping me informed and in the loop on all the details throughout the construction.

The job went well start to finish but there were some things which were not specified in the original plan which were add on-s some of which was an added expense and some of which were done without extra cost by the contractor. We were very happy with the work. If we had any problems like with the door lock they came back and fixed it even after the job was paid for.

He provided excellent service the whole way around. He works with only one partner Jeff, Easy going easy to work with. Didn't have one problem from the day he started to the end of the job. They very professional and easy going. He was easy to work with and I've had so many people comment on the quality of the work. Anytime we wanted to change anything or add something he went over the price before he started the work so we had no suprises. I would highly recommend him.

From start to finish, because we live in the woods, they were here when they said they would be here. It was difficult because they had to be up and down from the first floor to the second. It was not an easy project. They cleaned up after themselves every day after they left. So far the job they did was wonderful.

They did a fantastic job. They don't do the best job of cleaning up after themselves, but other than that, they do a wonderful job. They are very friendly, nice people.

From our very first consult meeting we felt like we were their most important customer. We were provided every detail and every piece of information. As we got closer to the actual start of our project Dan Green was in constant contact with us. The crew that came and did our installation was outstanding. They told us exactly what they were doing each day and kept the site very clean. Anytime we had questions they took time to answer them and explain the process. The project only took 5 days and it was very obvious to us Solarshield takes great pride in their work. Outstanding quality and the room is beautiful!!

It went very well. I had been looking on the internet for a cost effective solution that could be used every year. The goal was a product I could put away and not take up a substantial amount of storage space off season. Replacing screens with sliding glass doors was way outside our budget. We wanted a clear PVC that would allow us to see the backyard. The prior year, we had put up a roll plastic from a large retailer and hung it with a staple gun. It did the job, however, it looked really tacky. On windy days it would come loose and the lattice work on my porch ended up covered with staples. We could have made frames but we would have had to store them for the summer and we don't have the space. We needed to go with custom size tarps because their numerous options for pre-made tarps (across the industry) had a tolerance of +/- 6". The product came neatly folded in cardboard boxes with some foam sheets to protect them. We went with the 20 mil clear PVC sheets. It was thick enough that it will hold up to the cold in central PA but not too thick or heavy to work with. We did not go with the traditional canvas bottoms that one sees in restaurant outside patios because of the expense and concern of the fabric getting dirty. To get the large dimensions they heat seal sections. They look fine. The perimeter of each tarp is folded over straps to reinforce the edges and sewn. The washers/ grommets were then installed approximately every 21- 24" around the perimeter. We measured the spacing on the tarps and installed the two-screw turn fasteners to mount the clear PVC tarps. There was one small section on one tarp that was not square and is too long to connect it to the porch. Pretty much the quality of the tarp was excellent. the workmanship was solid. Buyer MUST have absolute not smaller than dimensions. It took my husband and son about 6 hours to install all the fasteners and the tarps. You need to buy the screws to affix the fasteners to the porch.
