We sat down and talked about possible options for the project I had in mind. HE measured everything, showed me samples and price quotes.I chose the product and colors. - Solarshield Metal RoofingOverall, the project went really well, and the end result is amazing. Both Dan Sr. (sales) and Dan Jr. (production) were good to work with, and the contractor on site, Joe Miller, did an excellent job with the construction. Joe was really good about talking through the details with me, and he made it a point to ask me what I wanted whenever there was a choice to me made. For instance, I wanted the ceiling fan hooked up to a switch on the wall, instead of a remote control, and Joe took the time to figure out how to make that happen. Similarly, I wanted a GFI on the outside of the sunroom, and Joe figured out how to run the electrical wires through the house to get the GFI where I wanted it. With any project this large it's impossible to work out all the details in advance, and I was very happy with the way Joe and Dan Jr. worked through changing the details with me during the construction. For instance, the original plan was to have 8' side walls and a 10' peak on the room. However, once the new deck was built we realized that the overhang from the house made it impossible to have the side walls 8' high. They figured out how to cut out part of the overhang to get the side walls up to 7.5' high, and then I had Joe cut the peak in at 9.5' in order to keep the shape of the trapezoidal glass the way I wanted it. Good communication was key to getting the room built the way I wanted it, and both Joe and Dan Jr. did an excellent job keeping me informed and in the loop on all the details throughout the construction

"Delays were due to pandemic and work stoppage - not contractor. Once my unit was ready they installed immediately and despite challenges of being a building built in 1858 he and his team got it done. I was instantly impressed with the unit and can't say enough about being worth the cost! I could use my deck all day - despite the hotter than usual summer - had privacy with added screen - and the remote makes opening and closing it 'magic'. I wanted the option of removing coverage in the colder months so I could watch sunsets from inside. I will say the ads for Sunsetters don't do them justice - the canvas models are better looking than the ads show. Keith was low pressure but informative about the options. Glad I made the call and had one installed!

"We were told 8-10 weeks to start, and we're given a start date within that time frame. They had their sign in our yard for 2 months prior to starting advertising the job. They were supposed to come 7-7:30 am on the first day, so show, no call. Office didn't answer our call til 9:30, only to be told they weren't coming. Would be next day, same draft time. No show til 8:30, with Dan Green with them saying would give us restaurant certificates for the no show. Didn't get. On top of that, on the work crew, a 14 year-old boy. No work permit, but even if he had NOT LEGAL to do roofing!!!!!! Tried telling us it's their culture (Mennonite). Still not legal. I hired a PA licensed company, not culture, and a child is not going on my roof. Plus know not on solarshields payroll books, and more than likely not being paid apprentice wages. Dan Green even called saying he just shouldn't be on the roof, so he knew the child was there, so knows he's in violation of child labor laws. Another worker even brought up not finishing the job til I said solarshield could get up to a $10,000 federal fine. For these reasons I would never hire them again. The roof looks great, the cleanup was good. It's only been a few days so we'll have to see if it leaks at all. What's funny after 2 months of the sign out front pending the work, they removed the sign when done. Isn't the finished work what they'd want to advertise? Guess the knew I wouldn't give a good recommendation.

"Actually very well. Can I add "however"? I understand that the quality of my door and windows is very good. However, my windows were installed in a loft over my garage , used mainly for storage. I did not need the best possible windows for that location and I think the salesmen should have suggested a less expensive window. Sheer stupidity on my part but I feel I was taken advantage of. As for my door. Well it was expensive too but I just LOVE it. It appears to be keeping out this cold weather. The door doesn't have any of those lines or whatever they are called in it. My backyard view is beautiful. The installation technicians did a fantastic job, I swear they even swept my driveway! Other than the finished job there was no indication that I had work done on my home that day. The cost of this project was 10,000.00 USD
