While finding a local interior designer whose portfolio you like and whose fees match your budget is important, they should always have appropriate qualifications. It’s unnecessary to tip holiday decorators, and most professionals won’t expect it, but it’s a nice gesture to show your appreciation for their work. If the expert goes above and beyond to keep your delicate decorations safe, or they’re hanging your exterior lights and putting out lawn decorations in freezing temperatures or inclement weather, a tip between 10% and 20% of your total will be appreciated. Large jobs that include interior and exterior work are also good opportunities to tip, especially if your expert is performing a rush job close to the holidays.

Costs range from $50 to $200 per hour or $2,000 to $10,000 per project, depending on scope and experience.

While it’s common to use the terms “interior designer” and “interior designer” interchangeably, they are two different professions, although some of their work can overlap. 

The most significant difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator is how in-depth they work for the project. Interior designers establish a floor plan, hire contractors, and make permanent decisions about the home, like cabinets and bathtubs. Interior decorators, on the other hand, make less permanent decisions about home decor, such as fabrics, wall art, and paints.

It’s unlikely. Not many baseboard heaters come with designs that offer the option to switch to a new kind of cover, but you can certainly ask the manufacturer for more information. Keep in mind, a cover with the same dimensions as your old cover isn’t guaranteed to fit because clasps, screws, and brackets may be in different places. The only way to be sure is to find an alternate cover that’s made to work with your specific model.
