Customers say: True professional

"Mr. Quinn was very responsive and called me back in a timely manner. He set up a time to give a detailed estimate. Ours was a complex job and he needed to get some equipment to deal with the glued-on gutter guards. He scheduled a dat to return and did so as planned. He honored my Angie's List coupon as well. Very professional, cleaned up very well after he was finished."

"This is an outstanding company! I hired them in August of 2019 to install a patio for me. They knew my budget going in was $5,000. I am not savvy with remodeling, but they worked with me to find affordable options and designs that I love. The project came in under budget at around $3,375 and by the time construction began, it took only TWO days to complete the entire remodel!! Easy to find online and love that s it s a local business. Very friendly and prompt service. Plan on using this business again for my future construction needs!"

"I was going to pay for a 650 20 yard roll off but instead used Toby. Wow what a smart decision that was. He called me back quickly after giving the information, was out that afternoon to give a quote and back in the morning to get the work done. We couldn’t be more happy. He exceeded our expectations all around."

Patios questions, answered by experts

The cost to screen in a porch depends on whether you are adding screens to an existing structure or building a new one from scratch. Adding screens to an existing porch costs about $5 to $7 per square foot, with a national average cost of around $2,800. For example, screening a 12-by-12-foot (144-square-foot) porch would likely cost between $700 and $1,000. If you are building a new screened-in porch, the cost is substantially higher. A new 12-by-12-foot screened-in porch can cost between $6,400 and $18,300, while a new 14-by-16-foot one averages around $11,000. The final price will vary based on the size of the porch, labor costs, and the materials you choose.

The average cost to screen-in your patio ranges from $2,000 to $4,000. How much you spend depends on the size of your patio, the materials used, and construction complexity. Some patio screen room kits are easy to DIY, but you may need to hire a local screened-in porch builder and obtain permits for more complex designs.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

Prefab kits like a small sunroom for around $20,000 or even a basic gazebo roof for as little as $60 can save you big over professional installation. However, you lose the option for customization, and these structures tend not to last nearly as long. As for bigger projects like a deck or patio, you shouldn’t go with the DIY route unless you’re fully prepped with the tools and know-how to get it done right. Mistakes can be frustrating and costly, so choose a pro if you’re looking to eliminate your risk of error.
