Complete slab stone and Quartz fabrication, and installations. Owner is 5th generation stone worker, and has been doing stone slab fabrication full time since 1982. We do residential, and light commercial jobs. We specialize in Marble, Limestone, and Soapstone (and all of the other stones as well!). Our clients are all from word of mouth referrals (except for Angie's list). We specialize in custom work. I invite you to call us for your work- large jobs or small ones, they are all important. We also do repair work, either in our shop, or on site if needed. Your broken table, or other stone may be salvaged. Just call and I can tell you if it is possible (I have personally repaired "Humpty Dumpty" at least 1000 times, and most of the time you couldn't tell he fell off of the wall!) I could go on, and on, and on, but I think you've read enough. For more info on our services, just call. If you don't get thru, keep trying as my voicemail gets filled up quickly some days, or send me an email. We are a small business, and focus on the little details which take longer. The final product, and customer satisfaction are the most important factors.

Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

Insurance companies weigh the amount of potential liabilities on your property to increase (or decrease) the cost of your home insurance. They will use several factors to decide if there are more chances for peril or injury to take place at your home. These factors include your location (whether you live in an area with high risk for natural disasters), the age and condition of your home, and whether you have any “attractive nuisances”—features that both increase the aesthetic of your home and potential for injury—like a pool or treehouse.

You can ensure a home inspector is unbiased by doing your research. Verify their work history and certifications so you know they’re qualified to be inspecting your home. Read reviews to understand other customers’ experiences and whether or not they were satisfied with the inspector’s assessment. Interview potential home inspectors and ask how they get their clients. If they’re not dependent on any one realtor for clients, they’re unlikely to risk producing a faulty report just to benefit one agent.

In most cases, you can negotiate after a home inspection and use the issues as leverage to bring down the purchase price of a home. The only exception would be if you waived the home inspection to make your offer more appealing to the seller. In that case, you can still have a home inspection done to identify issues, but you have no recourse to make a counteroffer after you get the inspection results.

If the anode rod is no longer protecting your tank, you’ll spot telltale signs when you turn on a faucet. A bad anode rod can cause discoloration in your water, a rotten egg smell, intermittent hot water, and air in the water lines. Since these are symptoms of sediment damage to your water heater, don’t wait for them to occur before checking on the anode rod.

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.
