"We found evidence of termite infestation. They responded quickly and inspected property the following day. Price was reasonable and employee was knowledgeable. He explained scope of work and options thoroughly. We added pest control as additional price was very reasonable. Work was performed the following day and we are satisfied with service."

"For a service like pest control, the proof is in the reduction in pests and it is far too early to determine if EcoLife was effective. However, they were quick to get back to us, came out at the day and time promised, and spent time talking with us about our challenge, explained their process, eased our concerns about environmental impact, and did the work quickly and without interrupting our day (our issue was rodents in the garage, so they baited around the perimeter outside). They promise regular follow-ups, and educated us as to what that will look like. As our problem was pretty self-contained, and not huge, we anticipate this working well. We greatly appreciated the knowledge, communication, and responsiveness of EcoLife."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

It may be better to have a mouse in your house than a rat. Rats are larger, more aggressive, and more difficult to eradicate once settled. One rat can cause more damage than one mouse. However, both animals pose a danger in that they can spread bacteria and contaminate food, so you’ll want to contact an exterminator as soon as you detect an infestation of either animal.

Yes, you should wash your sheets and clothes immediately after receiving a pest control service. If your pest pro sprayed chemicals inside your home, it’s important to remove any lingering residue from your washable items. Consult your pest control pro for a list of post-treatment steps to follow.

Yes, rats are social creatures that thrive together in packs. If you spot a solitary rat, there are likely more nearby. Their rapid breeding cycle and ability to slip through minute gaps in walls, floors, and foundations contribute to their presence. An infestation generally entails more than eight rats. A nest typically accommodates five to 10 of these rodents. When you spot one, it is crucial to take action. Rats can transmit diseases through urine droppings and even cause renal failure through bites.

Hazing is an effective strategy for keeping foxes away from your yard because these wild animals are usually scared of people, loud noises, and sudden movements. If you have a large dog patrolling the yard, that’s also usually a powerful deterrent for foxes. You can also use hazing to keep badgers away from your yard, along with pests like raccoons and coyotes.

You can’t stay in your house while fumigating, even if it’s only one room.  When using a bug bomb or fogger in any area of your home, the entire home must be fully prepped and everyone must leave regardless of how many rooms are being fumigated. If you'll be booking a stay overnight to give your home time to air out, factor the hotel room into your total fumigation cost.
