"Rick did an excellent job for our drywall repairs. He completed the job quickly and it looks great! We can't even tell where the drywall repair was done! We especially appreciate the extra effort he made to complete the job despite terrible road conditions . Will choose him again!"

"Shannon provided me with 2 of his best workers to finish multiple projects around my home on short notice. They installed 3 toilets, 1 refrigerator, a washer and dryer, and a new shower head. They were on time, professional, and the price was fare."

Small jobs welcome

"Pro Innovations did an absolutely fantastic job at my house! They were immensely professional about checking every decision with the drywall, as well as having a quick start time. They also worked with me to fit within my budget for the job, which was an additional benefit to see a company like this work in collaboration with their clients to help them out. I would 100% recommend these guys' work to anyone who needs drywall insulation for their home. The job is beautifully done! I am so happy with my decision to go with them!"

"not the best experience to work with. after the presentation stating it would be "done in a day" we decided to move forward with the project the following weekend. the installer showed up and told us the info he was given by the company was not accurate to the project so he didn't do anything and said he would get back in touch to reschedule. the following Thursday my wife gets a text saying that the installer will be out on Friday. my wife took the day off of work to be there for the install. Friday mid-morning she got a text saying that the parts didn't arrive and that he will have to postpone yet again. I instructed my wife to text to inquire when the material was going to land and she was told it would land on Saturday and the installer would do the install on Sunday. Sunday morning rolls around and we get another text saying that they can't get into the warehouse to get the materials to do the job. at this point we are three weeks into this project and still no progress. the following Saturday the installers show up and demo the old tub and surround out of my house and begin the install. the installer did not get the job completed and had to come back on Sunday to finish. late Sunday evening the installer calls me in to see what he considered a job done, however I had to point out large holes in the drywall that were made and not patched or concealed, areas where caulking was missed and I even found a 3" crack in the acrylic surround material. I noticed that one wall looked weird like it bowed. he went on to say that the wall was not straight. I put a 4' level on my cupboard right next to his surround and my cupboard is perfectly plumb and so is my wall but his acrylic is bowed. I mentioned to him that it looks like it is a manufacture defect. that the material might not have been heated enough before bending which caused the bow and the crack. he looked confused and didn't seem to come up with a solution to the issue other than put some caulking over the crack, not the right solution for where the crack is located but it allowed us to use the shower. he them wanted me to sign a job complete form which I wouldn't do until the drywall, and some of these other issues were taken care of. he ordered more trim/corner pieces to cover over the bowed wall and drywall issues, the wall still isn't plumb but it is not as noticeable unless you know what you are looking for. in the mean time while I was waiting for this repair I called down to my county office to see if I need a permit for the jetted tub they installed and my county says yes since they had to run the tub on it's own circuit. my county went on to tell me that they did not see a permit request at all for anything on this remodel witch shocked me. I got in touch DaBella and asked them why no permitting has been done on this project and they didn't give me much information. the next week we ended up meeting with the local electrical inspector to clear that up. the presentation lady came back out to have us sign the job complete and I showed her the 3" crack and of course she was shocked and understood that a proper solution needs to be made. we signed the job complete paperwork with the notation the a solution to the crack needs to be dealt with. we have heard nothing from DaBella since. my recommendation to others is to hire a different contractor for their project, if you have to use DaBella you will most likely have to hold their hand and show them the right way to follow through."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You can usually tell if you have plaster or drywall by touch (plaster is harder, colder, and smoother than drywall) or by tapping on it (drywall sounds hollow, plaster does not). If you still cannot tell, peek under an outlet cover and check the cut edges. The rough edges show the composition of the wall. You will see either drywall (two paper sheets sandwiching gypsum material) or only plaster material (no paper sheets).

Yes, any parts of drywall that are wet or overly moist will need to be replaced. Drywall is intended to be dry (it’s in the name, after all.), as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew and eventually corrode your home’s foundational building pieces. Do regular inspections in your home to make sure all your plumbing is intact and in good condition—this will go a long way toward preventing leaks.

White walls are the toughest color to keep clean and maintain, as they’re extremely unforgiving when it comes to dirt, splatters, dust, and smudges. Still, many people look past their high-maintenance requirements because they lighten and modernize a space beautifully. If you’re opting for white walls, it’s especially important to keep up with regular cleanings, so they stay pristine.

Whether you apply the drywall mesh before or after drywall mud depends on the type of patch it is. For self-adhesive patches, you’ll put the patch down first and then coat it with mud. Mesh patches that are not self-adhesive will require you to put mud down first and then press the mesh into it, followed by additional coats of mud.

Yes, a fan can help drywall mud dry faster by improving air circulation and reducing humidity in the room. Drywall mud dries through evaporation, so increasing airflow speeds up this process. However, you should position the fan to blow across the room rather than directly on the wet mud. This helps prevent drying too quickly, which can cause cracking. You should also use a dehumidifier if high humidity is an issue.
