"This was a difficult project due to steep, uneven terrain and numerous large rocks in the fence route, some of which required jackhammering to remove. Fred and Bryan were extremely helpful suggesting options for dealing with these challenges and explaining the pros and cons and cost differences of each. Crew members acted professionally and were communicative and hard working. Both design and construction were accomplished during the height of a very busy season. The schedule was revised several times and information was readily provided to us as these revisions arose. The end product is beautiful, effective and already garnering numerous positive comments."

Any type of dead bolt lock provides the highest level of safety for a single device. However, it’s also important to determine a lock's grade. Locks can come in either Grade 1, Grade 2, or Grade 3, which indicates how durable it is and if it’s constructed solidly. First, maintain composure and avoid forcing it further. Inspect the key to see if enough material remains exposed for extraction. Use pliers or tweezers to grasp and gently pull out the broken piece if possible. Lubricate the keyhole with a graphite-based spray to aid removal. If self-removal proves challenging or risks damaging the lock, seek a professional locksmith's assistance. They possess the necessary tools and expertise to extract the key without causing damage.

It depends on the quality of the keyless lock and usage, but in general, you can expect a keyless lock to last around three to five years. The batteries typically last around six to 12 months. The good news is most keyless locks include a low battery indicator so you can receive ample warning if your battery is about to die.

In general, keyless door locks are considered safe. They can’t be picked like a traditional lock, and unless a thief can guess your code, it’s pretty tricky to break into a house with a keyless door lock. But that doesn’t mean they come without risk. 

When asking yourself, "Are keyless door locks safe?” consider the style of the system. Hackers could potentially break in if it operates on Wi-Fi, but it’d take some time and effort.
