"This contractor is highly skilled in their trade. From the top of the organization to the bottom of the organization, everyone was courteous, attentive, and professional. Their work was deployed quickly and well organized. Over the past decade, my organization has completed fourteen (14) complex and successful stabilization of foundations. "From the first visit to my home from Sean for an estimate, to the crew that arrived to do the project I was impressed. Everyone was extremely professional. The crew arrived on time, the crew leader introduced me to the rest of the crew and explained how they would proceed with the project. They protected the work spaces with plastic from my garage to the crawl space opening in side my closet. They went to work and kept me informed about the progress. The whole crew worked very efficiently and got the project done in one day. They left work area spotless when they were done. I would highly recommend this company for any waterproofing project!!"

"We had an excellent experience with Miguel and his team at Sherpa! From the design and estimate process to the project work and the final product, we were beyond pleased. It is an amazing transformation of our space, and we would happily recommend Miguel and Sherpa Landscape Construction. The attention to detail and finished product is stunning! They maintained a clean jobsite and left our property spotless after their work was complete. If I could give 6 stars I would!"

"Daniel was awesome to work with. He came out and provided a solid estimate in a timely fashion. We had an unexpected sprinkler line that was in the middle of our excavation area and he took care of that. He also provided the materials for a retaining wall that we hadn't initially planned for, and he added that to the project scope without issue. I will definitely reach out to Daniel if we have another project like this one."

"The project was out of my dad's budget, but he did offer a different solution we will do ourselves. He lets us know it would be cheaper if we did it ourselves. I loved that! My dad has been scammed before and it's refreshing to have someone be honest. I will definitely be referring them to friends and family! Thank you to Sammy Brooks!"

"Great presintation! They explain all about roofing, product, if there will be any extra cost wood, look in your attic for damages, 3d pictures of your roof how it will look like after it's been done. Added extra ventilation where needed. Clean up was great. I have Dish, they paid the cost to have Dish come back out. There was no surprises! They delivered product one day, next day they removed old wood and replaced with new and extra ventilation. It's just beautiful! They went beyond did extra safety steps for the customer. My roof looks great, beautiful and I can't stop looking at it. We have the roof for Idaho weather not California. The cost is high but you will have a nice product you will not have to worry about for a very very long time. I would recommend this company they are a top quality roofing company."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Depending on the amount of soot present, you can vacuum some of it using a brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Then, remove the leftovers with a mild cleaner, such as dish soap or vinegar mixed with water. Before applying a cleaning solution, saturate the bricks with clean water to prevent the cleaner from penetrating beyond the surface and causing structural damage to the bricks.

Yes, but used or reclaimed bricks can be more brittle, cracked, or uneven than new bricks, so they’re harder to cut cleanly by hand. For that reason, you should take extra care when scoring and striking, and expect a higher chance of breakage. If a brick feels especially fragile, score deeper before attempting to split it.

Yes, brick walls often add value to a home. For starters, many people love the look of brick walls, so they can enhance your home's aesthetic appeal and add warmth to your property, especially when it aligns with the rest of your neighborhood's look. They also provide privacy and security, which can further increase the resale value of your home.

It’s called cobblestone because it’s made of stones that are “cobbed” together. A cob is a term that refers to rounded lumps. Originally, cobblestone streets were made from pebbles and stones gathered from riverbeds that had been rounded over time by the passage of water. The term has nothing to do with a cobbler, which is the term for someone who makes and fixes shoes.

The premise for painting a brick building is fairly simple: Prime the bricks to seal the surface and apply the top coat to protect your brick home. However, it’s easy to miss a few important steps if you’re starting from a raw brick surface and don’t know the basics of how to paint brick. So be sure to reach out to a local professional painter if you have any reservations about correctly painting your brick house.
