I can provide repair services for home appliances. Appliances serviced include but aren't limited to dishwashers/dryers, microwaves, electric stoves, televisions, ect. Not HVAC certified but I can work on some electronic portions of A/Cs & refrigerators. Just cannot touch refrigerant. As I am new to Angi my rates will be very competitive for awhile until I can build up reviews. So you can take advantage of that for awhile. Also, I am willing to work odd hours & weekends we can discuss rates for odd hours calls. I am a former Marine electronics technician(5 years w/ 1 year of tech school) & also currently work in electronics maintenance in the semiconductor industry. I am owner operated and am just starting out as self-employed. I look forward to serving you.

"We just had Rich in to do some repairs on our leather sofa. It was just over a year old and out of warranty and had developed some sag and puddling on the seat cushions. Rich was able to add some foam to help with the sag and then treated the leather with heat to help remove the wrinkles. It has made a big difference. We would definitely recommend Rich. He was prompt, reliable and knowledgeable. Great service!"

We offer cabinet refinishing and refacing. Right now painting is ever so popular, the most popular request we get from clients is to paint their kitchen, upgrade their cabinet hinges and hardware to create a whole new looking kitchen! We also offer cabinet refacing!

"Restoration Cabinetry and Design refaced all of the cabinets in our home in late June 2021. The project included our kitchen, two bathrooms, and the laundry room. Jacob and his primary carpenter Juan were really enjoyable to work with. Communication was excellent throughout the project from the bid process, construction, and to completion. We had them build new cabinet & drawer fronts and all new drawer boxes. We recommend you do the drawer boxes for your project. The finished cabinets look fantastic. I am a retired Architect and cannot believe the superb quality of the finished work. My wife is fussier than I am and she is thrilled. They did an outstanding job and we highly recommend them."

Individual workshop specializing in small furniture upholstery, furniture painting and refinishing. Upholstery services include chairs, dining chairs, benches plus indoor and outdoor cushions. Refresh your existing furniture giving it new life with color, new stain and protective coatings. I work with customers to create a piece they love offering special finishes, hardware updates, and custom paint and stain mixes. Pressed cane seat replacements available.

"Holy cow, what do I even say about Sassafrassity and Sheressa? From start to finish this entire project has been smooth as butter and the results are beyond amazing. Sheressa is a fun person to talk to and more importantly she really knows her stuff from brands and manufacturers to all kinds of different techniques and ideas to bring things back to life. I put in her hands an old hope chest from my deceased mother that I have been carrying around with me forever. It's very special to me however it was in very rough shape. The before photo doesn't do justice to show just how much wear and damage there was. One leg was completely missing and there were a few deep cuts in the wood along with countless scratches and overall wear marks. It just looked old and tired. I don't know anything about vintage furniture so I basically said use your judgement and try to make it look like it just came off the factory floor. As you can see in the after photo she did just that. It's FLAWLESS there is not one thing wrong with it and it's beautiful and even now I still can't stop looking at when i'm near. They even rebuilt the missing leg to the point where you 90+% can't tell it's a replacement and you can only tell if you saw what it looked like before and know which leg it was. I'm sure my mom would be very happy with this. I had her pick up and deliver this item as well and she took care on both visits to be careful with my heirloom. Very reasonable pricing as well although I won't quote it because i'm sure it's location based and I don't want to give implied pricing for someone way out there. Seriously thank you so so much for everything and if I decide to make my other vintage furniture items look awesome I won't hesitate to call. I still have some imported 1940's German furniture from my grandfather however those are still "working" furniture items cause of children using them. Just wait till they're older though and you'll probably have 2 more pieces coming. In closing to whoever reads this, please give this woman some business she takes pride in her work and in the age of retail apocalypse this is the kind of person and business we want to stick around and service customers."

Furniture Refinishing questions, answered by experts

Regularly check and tighten bolts, avoid overloading, and inspect for wear.

Sometimes you will need a stronger cleaning solution to thoroughly clean furniture before painting. It’s best to start with a mild solution to avoid damaging the surface, especially if it is an antique piece. If you need to use a stronger mixture, try a commercial cleaner or mineral spirits. Before applying any solution, do a test patch on an inconspicuous area so you don’t risk damaging the finish.

You can certainly seal butcher block countertops, but not permanently. Due to the nature of the materials, it will require resurfacing down the line. This is true no matter what you use to seal the countertop, including polyurethane and mineral oil. Polyurethane will last until the countertop is damaged in some way, and mineral oil should be reapplied every two to three months. To maximize the longevity of the polyurethane sealer, apply two coats.

Yes, you can tackle small rooms yourself if you're handy and have a flat, clean subfloor to work with. But seams must be sealed properly, or the barrier will fail. Any gaps will let moisture sneak through and defeat the purpose of installing this more expensive type of carpet padding. For larger rooms or areas, professional installation is usually worth the extra cost.

Applying a topcoat sealer is not required, but it will keep the stain from fading over time. This is particularly important if the stain imparts a color or varnish. If you’re staining exterior wood, you should apply a sealant or finish to prevent weather-related issues down the line. Also, stained wood that lacks a seal won’t look as clean and fresh. A clear topcoat will give it the professional result you want.
