The technician was unable to trace the lines because they were PVC and had no metallic tracer.  We discussed the situation and were able to approximate the run of the lines.  He was very helpful even though he was unable to trace the lines.

I had American Leak detection come out after I had had a plumber come out and fix two toilets . The City was showing high water utilization even after the toilets had been fixed. They came out on time and shut the water off to the house, pressurized the lines and looked for any leaks. They found no leaks, which made me happy and upset. Happy because I didn't have any leaks upset because no I have to fight with the City to get them to acknowledge that either they have a problem on their end or with their equipment. The company took the time to explain to me that all they did was leak detection and that if something was found that the plumbing company that I used would have to come out and fix it or any plumbing company I wanted to use. The plumbing company I used (Atomic Plumbing) was great by the way and I have written a review on them as well.

The service and quality of work were fantastic. In the end it was determined that our liner required replacement. Before coming to that conclusion they made 3 visist of approx 3 hours each. They tested all pipes and fittings at least twice. They inspected the liner and penetrations on each visit. They repaired numerous small leaks on each visit and called us after 24 hours to determine if the leaks had been stopped. In the end they determined that extensive small leaks existed all over the shallow end of our pool and that the liner was beyond practical repair. This conclusion was confirmed when the liner was removed for replacement.
They clearly treated this job as a challenge and wanted to be able to correct the leaking without a liner replacement. We attempted to pay them after each visit but they refused to accept payment until they corrected the leak. Only when it became clear that they could not correct all the leaks would they accept payment. Although we had agreed to pay $295 , they only charged our credit card $225 dollars.
This is a family owned business run by honest and relaible professionals. It was pleassure to do business with them.

He came, he saw, he found.

They arrived on-time, completed the job within 1 hour and were off. The gentlemen that came was patient and considerate. Listened to the concerns, explained what he would be doing and how it assisted in his job. He took the time to ensure that I understood what needed to be done and repeatedly ensured that I knew that if I had any additional questions I could call on them without hesitation.

Price was in line with other estimates. He arrived on time, did a great job, and we would definitely call them again.

He showed up on time. Used the garage sink to pump air into the line. Used his machine to listen to the underground pipe and found the leak within 30 minutes. He was professional, clean and explained what he was doing. After finding the leak (in the water meter box under tree roots and dirt), he dug down to it and removed the roots for me to show the City Arborist.

Tidewater Leak Detection came to my house after an excessively high water bill. He was very thorough and checked every possible source of a leak finally isolating it to the toilet.

Had a pool leak in my inground pool. After spending weeks digging holes around pipes etc, I finally gave up. I called American Leak Detection. I could not be there when they came, but this was not a problem. They found no leaks in pipes, pressure test was good. They found 7 holes in my liner, which I would not have been able to find on my own. Problem solved. I emailed them a few more questions, and the tech (Eric) called me later that same day and explained what he had done, and answered my other questions. For the price, they do repair liner leaks. I was told they would provide estimate for any other work that could not be performed while there, like cutting concrete, undergound pipe repair, that sort of thing, which is fair. So after all my back breaking work trying to find the leak myself, it was worth it to be solved. The only reason I suspected my pipes was I had cut and moved some of the pipes due to relocating the filter/pump. I had even replaced skimmer and discharge fitting gaskets trying to stop the leak. I would use this company again, no question.

Found company on Angies list. Called for an appointment and Margie was very helpful setting time and telling me how to measure water level and what would need to be done after visit along with what initial payment would cover. Eric came to house, very professional and went over entire pool and pipes. Spent over two hours checking everything out. Found 3 tears in liner and patched them. Found broken pipe in pool intake. Recommend we not fix unless we absolutely needed too. Did not try to take advantage of the situation.

Technician arrived right on time,went about his work in a professional manner and was finished repairing the 2 leaks found and reported that the pressure test of the pipes went well.

It took about 5 days to get an appointment, but the tech arrived exactly at the allotted time. He was careful to remove his shoes when entering the house and he even had to don coveralls for a trip into our not very roomy crawl space.

Arrived promptly and got the job done.

The actual leak was nowhere near where the water was showing up in the house. It took a while to find, and it was in a very bad spot, but then the plumber had no trouble getting right to it to fix it!

It went well

After messing around with another company with missed appointments and not being able to find the leak, I called American Leak out of frustration. They called me back 10 minutes after I left the message on the web page. They came out the same day I called and found the leak and then came back within 5 days and fixed the leak. They said they would arrive at 8am and pulled into my driveway at 7:58 and they were finished by noon. They may cost a little more than the other company but they were prompt, they fixed the leak no muss no fuss. In my opinion it was worth the extra cost to not have to take off extra days from work only to have no one show up as the other company did. They will be my first call in the furure.

The diver donned SCUBA gear and spent a couple of hours examining the sides, bottom and stairs in our inground pool. He detected and repaired numerous tears and punctures. The pool has not leaked since his visit. He was very professional, thorough and left no mess behind. Despite poor weather he came out on time and completed the job. I would recommend the company to anyone.

The price was right. He couldn't find it the first time, so the second time he came out he found it and charged nothing to fix it. He is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. I would recommend him to anyone that thinks they have a leak or need pool refinished.
