    My patio roof did not adequately protect the patio from rain, snow and sun and needed to be extended. I contacted Mr. Hummingbird with Homeguard Construction in Broken Arrow in early November and requested a quote. He came out the next day and my wife and I gave him a rough idea of what we wanted to accomplish with the roof extension. He said that he had experience in that type of construction and we agreed in general terms as to what was to be done. The next day Mr. Hummingbird sent us an email with a quote of $3,250 for an extension on the south side including painting. We subsequently decided to expand the east side for an additonal $750, bringing the total cost to $4,000. Mr. Hummingbird said that he could not start our project for about three weeks because of his existing workload, which was not a problem for us. We just wanted it completed by the end of the year. Once Homeguard started in late November, the work went pretty fast until a heavy ice and snowstorm hit which, combined with Thanksgiving, delayed completion about ten days. Homeguard spent about five days in total on the construction and painting and their gutter man spent a couple of hours after the construction was completed replacing the damaged gutters. One of my prime objectives was to have a finished project that looked like it was part of the original construction. Mr. Hummingbird and his lead project manager, Danny, promised that it would look like the original and it does. They are true to their word. Everything they told me or promised they backed up with their actions. We couldn't be more pleased. If you want it done right at a reasonable cost, call Homeguard Construction

    At first they seemed very professional. We felt like we could trust these people in our home. They showed up every day, did demo quick and pointed out things that needed fixed right away. They did seem rushed. Upon completion everything looked good. But as we started painting, seams are still showing. The walls are not smooth. Some places had just tape and no mud. Screw holes showing. Cracks in walls. We did have him fix one thing that we caught. As we moved back in we noticed things missing. A go pro and change from a change bank well over 50 dollars.     DO NOT hire this company if you are looking for safety for elderly loved ones or children. The installer did a beautiful job, HOWEVER, they removed a $400 scald proof faucet and replaced it with a handle that doesn't even show which way is hot or cold and has no scald protection. My mom has short term memory issues and now requires complete supervision for showers to keep from getting scalded. I have requested help for this problem and basically have been told that it can't be done without tearing out the whole thing. The problem has not been rectified after repeated requests. Very unhappy with the outcome of this

    It went well. Luis, the roofing specialist of the company is knowledgeable. He did not come to do the initial inspection of the roof to give the estimate. But when he came to work on the roof, he did some checking and determined that the initial diagnoses was not correct. The new estimate ended up costing me much more. But that is better than spending on something that would not fix the leak. The finished work was good and seems to have fixed the leak
