"I highly recommend Precise Home Specialties. Jonathan was very informative on repairs that needed to be made, how much it would cost, and time frame of completion. Weather permitting of course. After having several quotes, with prices ranging drastically, I was glad to see Jonthan was the only contractor that actually measured the house. True to his recommendations, and my requests, the job started and completed as he predicted. His crew are very professional, meticulous, and friendly. Cleanup was done every day with all equipment neatly stacked ready for the next day's work. Final inspection was done with Jonathan and a crew member fixing any issues I felt needed to be addressed. The house was beautifully refreshed. I will surely be contacting Precise Home Specialties for any future projects I may need."

"Shyma O'Connor and his team of plumbers are super skilled and immediately respond to calls. Over the years, O'Connor Plumbing has solved so many of my plumbing issues. Shyma installed a reverse osmosis water filter under our kitchen sink, a whole house water filtration system, installed new toilets, replaced leaking pipes, and helped solve musty smelling drain issues. The cost of services was more than fair and highly competitive and, in fact, less expensive than other plumbers. Plumbing issues are not fun and many times super stressful. Without O'Connor Plumbing, it's much worse. I don't know what I would do without Shyma. I am sure that you will feel like me and will never want anyone else working on your plumbing. I highly recommend them. I managed a construction/roofing company for many years. My company's logo is Integrity, Quality, Commitment. This is exactly the way I describe Shyma and O'Connor Plumbing."

"Rowe's Landscaping provided excellent direction and advice on our landscaping project. They removed all of the existing plants and replaced with a very updated and curb friendly look including weed control, landscaping bricks, new plants, mulching, and removal. The job was completed in about 6 hours. They did an amazing job that fit our needs and budget."

French Drains FAQs, answered by experts

While you don’t have to run out and immediately buy a new toilet at the first sign of a clog, if the toilet keeps clogging because it’s a low-flow or poorly designed model, a new toilet may be the way to go. If your toilet keeps clogging, you can try using less toilet paper, adjusting the fill valve, checking the toilet vent pipe on the roof, and using a toilet auger to make sure nothing is stuck in the pipe or trap.

No. You should dispose of all oil-based finishing products through a local hazardous waste program. Not only can oil-based finishes be hazardous for the environment if disposed of in the sink, but they can cause clogs in your pipes and stop up your drains. Most municipal garbage or waste disposal companies have a specific location or pick-up schedule for hazardous materials, so that’s your best bet to get rid of excess finishing products.

Most clogs are resolved quickly, often within an hour. More complex issues requiring pipe disassembly might take longer.

Baking soda and vinegar is a great solution for cleaning your sink drain; in fact, it’s our preferred method. Here’s how to unclog your drain with baking soda and vinegar: Pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar, and let the two bubble for 15 minutes. Then rinse out with boiling water. This method is much safer than using a chemical drain cleaner gel.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.
