HVAC, repairs, maintenance, and replacements. Family owned and operated, and serving the Tulsa area for many years. We provide quality services for an affordable cost. We offer free estimates and second opinions.

"I had used Frost in past for service. When we did a newbuild an remodel on our cabin at lake we figured Cody would be trust worthy. He has not completed the job to date 7/7/22. I have called, emailed an he admits that he used a pad from our well house an would reimburse for it. He admits he has not sent the vented door that keeps dust an dirt from ruining the coil but has basically lied an not followed through on anything. Problem all started when our bank TTCU rep didn't follow policy an paid Cody (owner) in full in Jan instead of just for materials. If Frost was a reputable company they would have finished the job. We know have to find another HVAC company to do it. This has been a TOTAL nightmare an unnecessary stress."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Indications of an HVAC problem include inconsistent heating or cooling throughout your home, unpredictable temperature changes, or inadequate air flow from vents. Abnormal sounds such as grinding, banging, or hissing, and unpleasant smells like mustiness or burning are also potential warning signs. A rise in energy costs without an increase in usage may also imply decreased efficiency. An HVAC system that frequently cycles on and off or cannot maintain a stable temperature is malfunctioning.

Zoned HVAC systems can be worth it for some homeowners, even with the added HVAC replacement costs, because they offer tremendous benefits. Zoned HVAC may offer greater stability and efficiency if your home has multiple levels and experiences constant temperature fluctuations. However, even smaller homes without major fluctuations can benefit since zoned HVAC systems can adjust their temperature more quickly by heating and cooling only the spaces you need.

While 72 degrees is a comfortable setting for many people, it’s likely not the most efficient temperature setting for your air conditioning unit. By pushing the temperature up to 75 or 78 degrees, you stand to save money on your energy bill. That said, these temperatures may be too warm to be comfortable for some people and are definitely too warm for most people to sleep comfortably.

HVAC systems should be serviced annually, no matter which type of system you have. This service visit should include an inspection, cleaning, and regular maintenance tasks, like flushing the boiler. The best time to do this varies on the system. For heating-based systems, call in a technician sometime during the fall. For air conditioners, go for the spring. Basically, schedule the service call before you plan on amping up HVAC system usage for the season.

It depends on the specifics of your warranty. The motor is likely not covered if you’re working with a limited warranty. The same goes for other components like the compressor and evaporator coil. Some extended warranties will cover the blower and fan motor, so read the fine print before signing up. Additionally, the manufacturer may offer a warranty for the parts, including the motor, though there’s likely to be a strict time limit for this coverage.
