"Outdoor Creations recently replaced our roof, and helped with the other hail damage items. Jake and Danny are great folks, very helpful throughout the process. We also had them build a pavilion by our pool. It looks amazing and we are looking forward to using it next summer. I very seldom write reviews, but Outdoor Creations is a great company that really takes the time to help you through the process. I would and have referred them to many of my neighbors and friends in OKC. If you are looking for a great roofing company that can just take care of all your issues, no need to look any further. They are the company to pick!"

"I found Outdoor Solutions through Google because they were one of the few companies that do both retaining wall work and fence work in my area. Neal was prompt getting out to my home to look at my existing retaining wall and advise me that only part of the wall needed replacing immediately, while the other portion still had several years of life. I think this is the mark of someone who stands by his work, he didn't try to upsell me on getting everything done at once, but rather seems to trust that I will be happy enough with the work he and his crew did in order to come back in the future (I am, and I will). Neal gave me an estimate using the three most common materials for retaining walls, as well as two material options for installing a new back fence and gate where none previously existed. I was able to select materials that were most applicable to my budget and needs as a homeowner. I scheduled the work with Neal and his crew was out as expected. I was told that the work would be completed in a week, they started on a Monday and finished up Friday afternoon. The fence is sturdy and looks very nice, the gate they put in it opens easily so I can get to the back portion of the yard. The retaining wall is sturdy and has a slight stairstep to it (my existing wall was installed straight up and down and had already started to push out at the top) and has three times as many tie ins back to my yard as what were previously there. Where the retaining wall was replaced drops down to a large terrace. Outdoor solutions had to remove the wobbly wood steps to replace the retaining wall, and when they reinstalled the steps to the terrace they must have added extra reinforcement because the steps are quite sturdy now. As a woman living alone, I rely primarily on the opinions of my father. He saw the work the weekend after they had completed and he was extremely impressed with the quality of the retaining wall and fence. He noted how well the retaining wall was tied in. I cannot recommend Neal and his crew more highly. They did an excellent job for a reasonable price in a quick timeframe. I will happily call on them in the future when the rest of the retaining wall needs to be replaced!"

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

A good rule of thumb is to change 5% to 15% of your koi pon’s water every week. Partial water changes help keep your koi healthy, and replacing small amounts at a time prevents causing stress for the fish.

Yes, it’s possible to DIY a plunge pool and shave labor costs off of the project total. If you’re considering a DIY build, keep in mind that you will be responsible for pool installation and landscaping (which may require excavation). This type of DIY project is best left to particularly handy homeowners who have prior pool installation experience.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

Most pond installations take 3-10 days, depending on excavation, liner placement, and filtration setup.
