Small jobs welcome

"Rodney contacted me quickly to set an appointment to come view large landscaping rocks. I purchased several and set a time to be delivered to my residence. He was delayed, but called me a couple of times to update me. He delivered the rocks and positioned them in my flower beds. Overall it was a good experience and use him again."

"Outdoor Creations recently replaced our roof, and helped with the other hail damage items. Jake and Danny are great folks, very helpful throughout the process. We also had them build a pavilion by our pool. It looks amazing and we are looking forward to using it next summer. I very seldom write reviews, but Outdoor Creations is a great company that really takes the time to help you through the process. I would and have referred them to many of my neighbors and friends in OKC. If you are looking for a great roofing company that can just take care of all your issues, no need to look any further. They are the company to pick!"

"They didn't show up when appointments were scheduled. So we rescheduled every time. They didn't remove the old mulch just covered it up. So now it's costing me more to have someone come in and fix it. I do like the French drain that was put in. I will say under the circumstances I didn't pay them the full amount they wanted."

"B&C contacted me immediately when I posted my job and were quick to come out and provide a comprehensive and competitive estimate for replacing the sod in my front and back yard following removal of a large dead tree and roots. I appreciated the progress reports when materials were ordered and scheduled for delivery. The crew came out on time and worked tirelessly to install the sod before inclement weather rolled in. They have returned to ensure the sod is adhering properly. The crew paid attention to detail and accommodated several small projects as they worked. I would not hesitate to recommend them and to call them for my next project."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.

Yes, it is possible to make a fountain without a pump, though it may seem less intuitive and will require a bit more effort to use. In lieu of an electric pump, there are a few options including hand-cranked pumps or sprinkler systems that can work to provide water for a fountain.

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.

When deep cleaning your koi pond, transfer fish to a clean, uncontaminated container at least one foot deep, like a large bucket, tub, or kiddie pond. Fill the container with their existing pond water to avoid shocking them, and place the container in full or partial shade. When it’s time to reintroduce them into the pond, slowly add the new water to the container before adding the fish and container water back into the pond.

A good rule of thumb is to change 5% to 15% of your koi pon’s water every week. Partial water changes help keep your koi healthy, and replacing small amounts at a time prevents causing stress for the fish.
