"Above and beyond my expectations. The tech (Danny Sams) who came out was polite, professional, pleasant, and obviously experienced in all things chimney and related.  As well as honest. Once a year before getting into cold weather here in oklahoma I have my fireplace checked, cleaned, and get the pilot to the gas logs lit. This was my first experience with Soot Busters. Have had my gas logs in my fireplace for three years and instead of going ahead and "cleaning" the fireplace as done by a different company (who also charged a lot more) Danny thoroughly checked out the chimney inside and out and related it did not need to be cleaned. He went on to explain how gas logs are clean burning and don't produce the build up that regular wood burning produces. Something the other companies in the past failed to relate. Something else I didn't expect but was grateful for was that when he went up on the roof checking the cap and outside of the fireplace he reattached some flashing on the top of the chimney that had been loosened by the May 31 tornado. He checked out the gas logs, the gas connection to them and lit the pilot light for me. (Something I normally have to pay for the gas company to come out and do.)
Have already used the fireplace a couple of times when the temps got down to freezing and it has worked perfectly.
A great company as evidenced by a great employee. Thank You!

"They came out quickly, look out the structure at the fireplace and found out that there's no gas going to the fireplace. He recommended me a gas company to check it out before lighting."

"Four installers, two for the generator and natural gas and two for electrical work showed up on-time and got directly to work. I was home and watched them install the product. They knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it. They buried the gas and electrical lines for me and set the generator as Seth described. They took the time to explain to me what was happening and what to do. Since I purchased the ten year extended warranty, they told me that if there is any problem at all, I just have to call and they will take care of it. All I have to do is to monitor a light that is green on the side of the generator. If it turns red, I call them. I would so RECOMMEND Airco for a home generator. We were so happy with the installation that we changed our maintenance plan for our furnace/air conditioner to Airco as well."

"Outdoor Creations did a very fantastic job on our damaged and leaking roof. They just happened to be driving pass our home one day and observed that our roof needed repair. They stopped by and politely introduced themselves, and asked permission to inspect the roof. After discovering some serious damage from the weather, they facilitated and handled the insurance issues concerning the needed repairs in a professional manner. After the details were completed their crew came and finished the job in two and a half days. The crew was very polite and skilled, and they did a great job. Jake conducted himself with honesty and integrity. The information they gave was clear, and they were happy to answer all our questions. The great news is my wife and I have a brand new roof on our house because they stopped by one day. We are very pleased with their work. Thanks to Jake we no longer have a leaking roof. We highly recommend Outdoor Creations and the work they do. Desmond and Pauline Shepherd Tulsa, OK"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.
