The chain might not have the right tension. For example, a chain that’s too short can make the handle feel stuck. Check that there’s some slack in the chain. Old, worn-out flappers can get stuck, too. In this case, you’ll need to see which size toilet flapper you need.

Don’t leave frozen pipes to thaw on their own. Frozen pipes can build up extreme pressure and eventually burst if left unattended. This massive amount of water can cause thousands of dollars in damage to your home. If you don’t see any leaks, slowly warm up your pipes with indirect heating elements or warm towels. Call a plumber if you spot any damage.

While PEX can't melt, high temperatures can alter its performance. The maximum heat that PEX can safely be exposed to is 180 degrees Fahrenheit. When PEX is exposed to high temperatures for extended periods of time, it may fail. While copper can withstand hot temperatures better than PEX, copper pipes freeze more easily compared to PEX.
