Small jobs welcome

"When a huge pine tree blew over and landed about 10 feet from our home we needed someone who could get the job done quickly, safely, and with minimal property damage. Lumberjack Trees did just that. They came in and made quick work of the tree. They were considerate of us during scheduling and were able to complete the tree removal before our children’s nap time. We feel the value Lumberjack Trees provided surpassed the price we paid for their services. We will definitely use them again in the future!"

"Storm uprooted large tree on hill by Lake. Prompt on appointment to quote job as well as date to perform work. Project came in as quoted; Did some additional weeding in section obscured by debris w/o change in price. Very thorough and proficient; industrious; customer focused operation. Work performed- harvested/stacked useable sections for firewood; cleaned up leaf debris and limbs and relocated to burn pit. Would definitely use again"

"They arrived within an hour I would guess, which I would call prompt service. Seemed to share medical concern if I would need supplies or to get out. Genuine courteous. And the price was as quoted over the phone. Thank you. I would hire them again."

"They arrived on schedule and began work immediately.  They were able to quickly trim the elm tree to our satisfaction.  The willow tree took a little more time due to the proximity of the homes and multiple dead limbs at the top of the tree.  I was pleased with their work, and will definitely use them again.  They are very professional, and know their business well.

"This husband and wife company went above and beyond with my tree concerns. They were prompt, knowledgeable, efficient and extremely tidy. Each evening they left they fully raked all debris and removed it, even knowing they were returning the next morning. They turned down some work explaining that it was not necessary and money would be better spent on a more urgent tree concern. I cannot praise this company enough and would be happy to talk in person to anyone considering using them"

"They were very good on the job they did. We have many trees and shrubs and the trees to be removed were interspersed among them. None of the standing trees and shrubs were damaged. The stumps that remained (we agreed to leave the stumps) were very low to the ground and not noticeable. We were very satisfied with their work."

"I hired this company to clear an acre of land with trees and shrubs, remove some fencing and trim trees along a fence line. They were professional and did an outstanding job. We will most certainly use them again and highly recommend them to others."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

You can find pruning paints and sealants for trees, but you shouldn’t use them on a topped tree. Coatings like these often inhibit the tree’s healing process. An important exception is if there are dangerous fungi nearby that the tree is particularly vulnerable to, like oaks and oak wilt. Sealing cuts can help prevent fungi from taking root.

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

Yes, burning wood with Dutch elm disease is a safer way to dispose of it than, say, tossing it in with the rest of your yard waste, which could potentially allow it to spread to healthy trees. But it’s always a good idea to check with your local government to make sure you’re complying with any ordinances about removing diseased trees as well as burning brush piles.

Tree roots don’t necessarily break through concrete on their own, but they can certainly take advantage of existing cracks, even very small ones. As roots grow, they expand the cracks, making them larger and leading to serious and costly foundation damage. It’s a good idea to have repairs on any foundation cracks you’re concerned about.

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.
