"I had problems with the company sending me the financial information. They quoted me for the most difficult job such as replacing the upstairs floor under the bath if needed. there was no need to replace the floor this part was not taken off the original price. Finance co. keeps calling and I do not have their information. All I got from Bath Solution was the application for financing it."

"I explained that we needed our fiberglass tub replaced, since it had a crack in it, and I wanted a new sink and countertop. The rep, Zack, went over the details, and when it came to replacing the sink and countertop, we spent almost an hour discussing what I wanted, picking out the countertop, etc. I asked what kind of sink would be installed. He said he didn't know, and he called his boss to find out. About an hour later, I again asked him about the sink. So he called his boss again. At that point, his boss told him that they could not do the sink and countertops unless we agreed to do the tub surround with a very expensive product, which would add about $7,000 to the cost of the tub and surround!! I told him we were not going to do that, so I did not get my sink and new countertop. Also, I told them I wanted Delta faucets, and they installed a Delta shower head, but Moen faucets. The price was outrageous."

"We had already purchased a vanity for a bathroom remodel with another company but the person in charge of our project quit. Their replacement gave us a quote that was way too high. When AQ's Construction came out to take measurements they were booked out for two months, but they were able to work us in about two weeks later. The quote was fair and the work was great. We had them demo the old bathroom and replace everything. We purchased all materials other than drywall, durock, and grout. They gave us instructions on what to buy when needed. We look forward to working with them again when we decide to remodel our other bathroom."

"Contractor was very professional and did an excellent job. Glass has a coating to help prevent water spotting. I also have the option of adding a custom shower door if I decide I need one at a later date. Price is very competitive. Very happy with the job."

"Jake, Jason and the rest of the Outdoor Creations crew were wonderful to work with. They were kind, respectful and professional. Our insurance paid for the full replacement thanks to Jason taking the lead with our adjuster. The crew worked quickly, efficiently and kept things tidy around our yard. The roof looks absolutely beautiful. We will be recommending Outdoor Creations to anyone in need of a new roof."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Adding a soaking tub can increase your return on investment (ROI) for a bathroom remodel, with many people recouping a 60% ROI when adding a soaking tub. To get the best value from installing a soaking tub, make sure that your floor plan allows the tub to act as a focal point in your bathroom, adding aesthetic value as well as being practical.

The most common type of tub is the alcove; most bathtubs are shower and tub combinations. Many suburban homes feature these as the default option because they allow the flexibility for users to take a bath or a shower—a notable benefit for those with pets and young kids.

DIY installation of a walk-in tub is not recommended as it is a challenging and risky project that requires advanced plumbing knowledge. Professional installation is crucial to ensure a proper and safe setup, water-tight conditions, adherence to local building codes, and the preservation of your product's warranty.

Yes, $5,000 is a healthy budget for a DIY bathroom renovation. It can go a long way in making the space more accessible and stylishly spa-like. Providing you stick to modest materials and don’t make any major plumbing or structural changes, you can upgrade fixtures, retile, and add some stylish bathroom accessories and savvy storage solutions to maximize the space.

Whether converting a tub to a shower is worth it depends on your personal circumstances and priorities. For many, a shower is a safer option that reduces the risk of slip-and-fall accidents, making it a valuable upgrade. It can also be a worthwhile conversion if a shower is more practical for your lifestyle and you rarely use the tub. However, there are potential downsides to consider. The cost, which can range from $1,200 to $8,000, can be a deterrent. Additionally, if you have young children, a bathtub is often easier for bathing them. Finally, removing the only bathtub in a home can potentially lower its resale value in the eyes of some buyers.
