"After another service came out and couldn't identify exactly where the lid was in the first 30 minutes of looking and after digging one small hole which reached the tank but not necessarily the lid, they gave up and didn't want to continue. 
Milty's called mid-day to come out but had to go dump their tank and said they would be back that day.  They actually showed up the next afternoon, but then got everything handled.

"Takes for ever to get a return a call. Also took a week to get someone out for repairs. They said they would reimburse me for septic repairs and it took over 3 months for that to happen."

"I recently purchased a Fannie Mae foreclosure, a house with nice potential but quite a mess to get started with.  I contacted a couple of names from Angie's List and Roger Allen was so professional from the get go (good guy too), I went with him pretty quickly.  He was able to get an estimate together and to my lender soon after I had asked.  I'm not an expert on pricing but his numbers were consistent with the other I had received and ended up being accurate by the time everything was done.  On small jobs that is easy, on the mess that was my house, quite a challenge.  We had problems all around from an iffy septic system, siding peeling away, no hot water heaters, ancient electrical boxes, decor from a generation long past, leaks in the shower/master bath, carpeting that had seen much better days, etc.  He was able to take care of everything inside of my budget without any glaring omissions.  Even when my wife picked out expensive paints, he was able to take care of the overage.  Roger and his people have been great, I'll be using him for any future fix-it jobs in the future for sure."

Modern septic tanks have two lids: one that covers the inlet where wastewater flows into the tank and one that covers the outlet where the treated water flows out to the drain field. However, older septic tanks installed before 1975 may have only one lid. Because septic tanks last 20 to 40 years, if yours only has one lid, it may be time for a replacement.

Signs that your well is dry include a decrease in water pressure, strange odors coming from faucets, cloudy, bubbly, or discolored water, and water that’s warmer than normal. To determine the right size for your submersible well pump, find your well depth, water demand, and well casing diameter. The pump should match your well's specifications and meet or exceed your drawdown and pressure requirements. 

For precise sizing, make sure to research the different well pump sizes, consult the manufacturer's recommendations, or seek guidance from a professional well pump installer.
