"I just pay $75 you never know who's going to come out. They do everything electrical. Just about everything is covered except the septic tank. I had an air conditioner replaced. It went great, all I had to do was pay for the freon. He didn't charge e more than what was needed."

"I recently purchased a Fannie Mae foreclosure, a house with nice potential but quite a mess to get started with.  I contacted a couple of names from Angie's List and Roger Allen was so professional from the get go (good guy too), I went with him pretty quickly.  He was able to get an estimate together and to my lender soon after I had asked.  I'm not an expert on pricing but his numbers were consistent with the other I had received and ended up being accurate by the time everything was done.  On small jobs that is easy, on the mess that was my house, quite a challenge.  We had problems all around from an iffy septic system, siding peeling away, no hot water heaters, ancient electrical boxes, decor from a generation long past, leaks in the shower/master bath, carpeting that had seen much better days, etc.  He was able to take care of everything inside of my budget without any glaring omissions.  Even when my wife picked out expensive paints, he was able to take care of the overage.  Roger and his people have been great, I'll be using him for any future fix-it jobs in the future for sure."

A leaking well pipe is quite different from if the well itself is leaking. To seal a leaking well, pour a cement mixture or bentonite into the space between the well casing and the borehole wall. The heavier cement collects at the bottom to form a solid seal, pushing lighter materials like mud and fluids up toward the surface. There are a lot of issues that can cause a septic tank to collapse. Those include failing to regularly pump or service it every three to five years, placing too much weight atop the system—by parking your car on top of it or because of a heavy snow buildup for instance—or because of structural damage done by overgrown tree roots.

You should never park or drive on top of a septic field. Vehicles can weigh upwards of two tons, and this weight can put a lot of pressure on the leach lines in the drain field. Too much pressure on your leach lines may cause them to warp, crack, or completely burst. This is an expensive and very avoidable problem.

Drain fields often include three to five trenches that are 18 to 24 inches deep. The pipes connecting the drain field to the septic tank will be placed between 12 and 18 inches deep, and the field as a whole will be about 100 feet long.

Wells typically replenish at a rate of about five gallons per minute, but several variables can influence how quickly they refill. A deep well will take more time to replenish than a shallow one. The replenishment rate can be slowed by issues such as leaks, damage, a faulty well pump, or a clogged well screen. Other factors, such as the surrounding geology, regular precipitation, and proper maintenance, also affect the recovery rate.
