"Very Nice People to work for."
"Enjoyed working with Kathy."
"Why is this lady just now in 2024 complaining about the project that we performed in 2021 which was accepted by her 3 years earlier? The project consisted of a garage conversion with the addition of 1 door, a single window and a double window; a remodeling of the master bedroom with the addition of a french door and new windows; and the addition of a large cedar deck covered with a metal roof. We gave her a written proposal which detailed the scope of work and an estimate of the labor and material costs which we both agreed to in writing. We completed the scope of work within that budget even though the cost of construction materials was going up weekly. All materials used on the project were NEW and of the best quality available at the time of purchase. Most (80%) were purchased at the beginning of the project. The other 20% of the materials came from our own inventory of new materials that we maintain so that our clients do not experience delays in their project because of the COVID effect on the construction industy. Receipts for the purchase of all materials were made available for review to this client. The client reviewed the quality of our work during the course of the project and then at the end. Her issues were minor and were resolved promptly to her satisfaction. She paid our invoices promptly for our work as it was completed. At the end of the project she was advised that she would have to maintain a consistent moisture content around the perimeter of the house in order to maintain the integrity of our work in particular the newly installed doors and attached cedar deck. The house has a pier and beam foundation as compared to the concrete foundation of her old home in Washington state that she had just moved from. Of course, the project took longer to complete in 2021 than it would have take now. COVID was causing significant delays in the availability of most materials. The French door was a special order and took a month to come in and then the client changed the orientation of the door opening and it had to be reordered and was installed immediately in the last week of the project. The project was delayed when she took an extended vacation during the middle of the project which resulted in a two month delay. We presented her with a proposal at the end of February 2021 and presented our final invoice to her on Sept 23, 2021, an elapsed time of 7 months."
"We did complete the original scope of work and were paid for it. Client then asked us if we would replace the original ceiling fan with another ceiling fan which we agreed to do for an Additional $250. Client lived 30 miles from our office. Client had a locked gate which she would unlock remotely. My service personnel made 3 separate trips, calling her each time to unlock gate and were unable to reach her. I, the owner, made two trips with appointments, was on-time and was unable to get her to answer her phone and unlock gate."
"I agreed to perform this work for her if she would be a little more generous in her review than she had in the previous work that we had done. We completed the job and were paid for it. She voiced no complaints. She did give us a better review an average of 1.8 compared to the 1.3 that we got 2 months earlier. And then she asked us to do a third job for her. I respectfully declined."
