"Excellent service for a virtual format. Would definitely recommend this very affordable alternative to the traditional technician having to come to your home to evaluate and fix a malfunctioning appliance."
"John contacted me shortly after ordering the service to set up an appointment. Some time in between when our service was scheduled we had an emergency pipe leak in our wet walls. We called out a plumber that fixed that issue and discovered a much more serious issue causing our kitchen sink not to work. We had planned on having John replace our sink but since we need to have extensive plumbing work performed in order to utilize the sink we no longer need the service purchased."
"I contacted Air Roofing & Contracting after another contractor failed to take the time to schedule an estimate. Air Roofing & Contracting was out the next day and within a day of my agreeing to their bid the work was done. The recommended work was documented with over 40 digital pictures. They weren't cheap but their professional work quality was worth the cost. I would recommended them to anyone. "
".I saw a TV commercial for Cedar Ridge vinyl siding that is so strong that can't be damaged even by a truck running over it. I checked out the company with BBB and Angie's List and then called them for an appointment. The salesman arrived on time and was professional. He brought one sample of the siding-it was thick vinyl with a very thick dense hard foam core (the foam core was yellow in color) that he said was permanently fused at the factory. The estimate was $30,762 for my small 1200 square foot home(If I signed the contract right then). I told him I couldn't afford that much and apologized for wasting his time. About 10 days later, the company called me and wanted to know why I didn't sign a contract and I told them because I couldn't afford it. They wanted to send out another salesman who was the owner's son and was authorized to give me a discount because I was an elderly widow. I told them not to waste their time unless he could give me a large discount. They assured me that he could. He arrived on time and remeasured the house. He lowered the price by $6,000 and included 7 replacement windows for my sun porch--just regular size windows. I was going to write everything but this is too complicated. So summary: The salesman attempted a bait and switch. I found out they don't have a product like the sample that I was shown. I have kept a sample of what they attempted to install on my house. They just show up whenever they want to do the installation, without first calling. If I had not been home to examine the product, I may not have been able to determine the inferior quality of the product just by viewing the installed vinyl. I have kept extensive written notes. The salesman sent a second product which was only slightly thicker styrofoam than the first. I told him the product that I had agreed to purchase was in one piece and fused at the factory. He (the owner's son) stated that the first salesman was incorrect and that they had no product like that. He stated that the sample was just glued together to make for easy presentation. It was quite obvious from talking to this young man that he equated "elderly widow" with "stupid". After mentioning Angie's List, he finally decided to order the quality of siding that I had paid for. The installers showed up again on June 10-not with anything that looked like the sample I had been shown but I felt the quality was fairly close to what I had been shown and it was in one piece so I allowed them to install it. The only good thing I have to say about this company is that the installers that came out with the final product were excellent. They were Lonnie, Cecil and Jack. They were courteous, professional and answered all of my questions. They did a superb job of installing the product. I really wouldn't call this company again because of the dishonesty of the owner's son-- in position of salesman. Also, the work was completed and paid for on June 14 and just today, July 25, after calling the company last week and again this week I finally received the warranty brochure. I wish I had called Sears for a price quote before going with this company. I wonder if other people have been duped with the inferior product because it was installed while they were not at home. It turns out that there are several different types of the Cedar Ridge siding. I would warn anyone who uses this company to get a sample of what is to be installed and to make sure they inspect the product that is delivered. Also be sure to read the back of the contract before you sign on the front. That was not shown to me. I just saw it the next day and it is quite intimidating, If you allow a wall of siding to be installed, you are stuck with it.

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts
Low water pressure is the most common problem with showerheads. Whether it’s due to scale and calcium buildup, clogs, age, or damage, poor showerhead spray costs you time and a relaxing experience. If your showerhead is in good condition except for buildup or clogged holes, try cleaning it with a scale or calcium remover. If the showerhead is old, rusty, cracked, or damaged, it’s time to replace it.
Frost-free faucets are a smart idea if you live in a region that sees freezing temperatures. These specially designed faucets are typically insulated and feature a shut-off within the house. When temperatures drop, you’ll close the outdoor spigot so that freezing water doesn’t sit in the fixture and cause it to split or crack during cold weather.
Yes, if you live in a climate with extended periods of frost or snow, it’s best to winterize the sink and avoid potential bursting. Similar to winterizing a garden hose, turn off your water from the source. Once turned off, open the faucet so the remaining water completely drains out. You can also pour a small amount of antifreeze down the sink drain so any trapped water won’t freeze.
Toilets typically connect to your main vent stack, a vertical pipe that runs through all finished levels of your home and exits through the roof. It’s located behind the walls, but if you have an unfinished basement or a utility closet, you may find a portion of it running the vertical length of the space. Some basement toilets use an air admittance valve instead, which is a small vent located in the wall directly behind the toilet that extends upward a few feet from the drain.
Most homeowners and many renters insurance policies cover the cost of damage from a burst pipe, as it is typically considered a sudden and accidental event. This coverage often includes not only the plumbing repair itself but also the cost to repair or replace other parts of your home damaged by the water, such as drywall and flooring. However, every policy is different, so it is wise to consult your insurance company to understand the specifics of your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs.
